Swanson Natural Goodness Lower Sodium Chicken Broth, 32 oz Carton

Swanson is a brand to trust. Their products are always high quality and this one is no different. I think this chicken broth is richer and more flavorful than other brands. This chicken broth works well with all sorts of recipes and with less sodium! This was a great price I paid for this brand; the local brick and mortar store’s off brands are generally this price or more.

It`s good and with a new diagnoses of CKD I can use it for many things that I can eat and enjoy.

So easy and tasty for soup making it a breeze, and adding flavor to orzo and rice 🍚

Quality brand of chicken broth for my dishes that is very affordable.

Not quite as good as Amazon's house brand but a reliable substitute. When it's on sale I'll stock up on several cartons, although at full price I pass because Amazon's is half the cost and I like it better. But when it's on sale I'll pick some up as the flavor is very good without any tinny aftertaste.

I have often purchased Swanson Natural Goodness chicken broth at the local supermarket, usually when I planned to turn leftover chicken into chicken noodle soup. It was convenient to order this product from Amazon this time, however, and it was delivered without any leaks, and with prompt overnight shipping. Unlike older broth carton packaging, which required piercing a foil film after the cap was removed, these broth cartons had easy-open caps without any interior film to pierce. The sodium content is approx. 25% less than that of Swanson's regular chicken broth -- so not low-sodium, but every little bit helps, and when the total contents are split among several bowlfuls of soup, it's not too bad. (Still no need to add any additional salt as seasoning to one's recipe, though!) Although the cartons of liquid broth are bulkier to store than bouillon powder/cubes or the semi-solid chicken soup base I would have otherwise used, they are super-convenient to add to one's recipe, as no mixing of water + bouillon is required.The turkey noodle soup I prepared on this occasion was delicious, and I wouldn't hesitate to use the Swanson Natural Goodness chicken broth again in my next batch of soup. Highly recommended!
