This is an excellent product, i had read a lot of reviews about it, as well as many other different product reviews before i took a chance.**Key factors to consider before buying:- This product is rather large, nothing wrong with that.- This product is designed for a specific purpose, its style is that of one which you may not be comfortable using.- Its made to be held in a specific direction, blade down and hook of the blade pointing away.- Its made to be held with 3 fingers on the handle, and your pointer finger through the hole which allows you to spin the blade like a helicopter. (Some reviews say the handle is too short and uncomfortable... Well, its because they are holding it incorrectly.. like holding a gun backwards with the barrel pointed at you. Now, holding it corrctly, if its still uncomfortable, wrap the handle with 550 paracord)- This product comes from the factory with a very sharp edge, which it should. This product is not made for fencing-like styles of fighting, its made for up close and personal bone carving.- It is a razor sharp double sided talon, failure to operate cleanly and correctly will result in you cutting your own wrist and not surviving the ride to the hospital.- Learn how to fight correctly with a straight blade before you even think about using this style product. Your massive ego will result in the shortening of one of your limbs, or even your life.- This product is specifically curved for severing muscles, tendons, necks, and dis-embowelment. As well as the ability to "let go" with one finger through the hole and use an "open hand" as the 2 razor edges dangle and bounce near your soft flesh.Side note: Sorry i have not field tested this product yet, and lets hope i dont have to. Let me remind you, this product is not for sitting around the campfire sharpening sticks for marsh mellows. Use one of your other normal pocket or fixed blade knives for that. You buy this knife, and you do not use it to cut anything other than outer garments and flesh with. Am i making myself clear? I dont think i am. This product and its style are designed for ONE purpose, its blade is to stay razor sharp, and not used until the day you actually need it. You dont sit around sharpening sticks with a scalpel and then go put it back on the surgeons table, do you? Do you get what im saying? You buy this knife, and you do not use it, it is to remain razor sharp for its ONLY purpose. Do not bring it to your buddys house to screw around with and have fun. This product is not "for fun", trust me the instant you remove it from its sheath, you will be afraid of it... and if your not, you will soon be bleeding, badly.

Love this knife
Probably my new favorite. Have always loved CRKT, but this was my first real purchase outside of a tactical store. Was absolutely not disappointed by this product. Perfect design for a karambit in my opinion. Blade was sharp an clean out the box. Sheath was extremely important to me and that passed as well. Sturdy and holds tightly to the blade. Have heard others moan it's too tight, I'll securely hold my knife instead of it falling out it's sheath like some other knives I've owned.A+ product in my book.

Solid Choice
This is a very efficient self-defense/combat karambit. Karambits, by nature, are deadly - which is what you would be using this for.Take care of it, and take care of yourself.A word of warning, though, that you may find humorous: The blade locks into the sheath quite firmly. You must pull decisively to get it out. On one of my first attempts, the hand holding the sheath shot down once I got it out, making hard contact with a testicle. Be careful. You can hurt yourself with this in more ways than one xD

CRKT Karambit
To start out with i bought this knife to accompany my edc. 9mm. First impressions of this knife it is very intimidating. On drawing it from the sheath I discovered it was very tight and hard to get out. After taking off some of the material from the sheath it draws much more quickly and smoothly. I like the fact of the larger handle and blade my hands are on the larger size and the fact it fits much more comfortably then alot of its competitors. The blade stays sharp and it isn't to heavy for me to use in certain situations. I feel all in all it is a well made knife and works well for what it is designed for. If I had any complaints so far it would be the sheath itself.

Top Quality Knife
Here are my thoughts on the 3 features:1 - Sturdiness: the knife is very solid. I believe it is almost 0.25" thick.2 - Comfort: this is one of the largest karambits I have seen; the only one bigger coming to mind seems to be the Tac-Tops made by Tops Knives. Because of this, it is geared towards people with larger hands or for those wearing gloves frequently. Still, it is quite comfortable.3 - Craftsmanship: nothing fancy to it, which is a good thing. Personally, I don't like any elaborate curves on knives, or even serrations as they are prone to damage and are difficult to sharpen. However, I am a big fan of karambits and tanto-style knives and this knife is a hybrid of both.

This knife is well worth the money. It’s a challenge to pull it from the sheath but being held in place tightly is far from a problem.
