Well, so much to say!!A smart watch is something that I have often thought about getting for myself, but always talked myself out of for several different reasons.Some of these would be that it may be too hard to use which would frustrate me, the fact that I already have a classic watch and carry a mobile phone, and also the worry of wearing an expensive bit of technology on my wrist that I would be worried about damaging meaning I would do even less!This all changed, the day my wife told me that she was considering getting a smart watch to help her track her daily steps.This opened the door for me to take us both to the future and the world of smart watch ownership.My first port of call was to go to the Amazon website and look into smart watches and to do my due diligence and read customer reviews and compare prices.I always knew that I didn't want to spend a fortune or get a 'fruit' ' brand smart watch which would be outdated as soon as the wind blew.This is why I chose this watch, as it was at an exceptional price, and counted steps and as I have found out since so much more.So I placed my order, as as always on Amazon, the delivery was super fast and I received it the next day.Upon recieving the box and opening it, it was immediately obvious that the watch was aesthically as pleasing in my hand as in the pictures, resembling those more expensive fruity watches.In the box was the instruction pamphlet which told me to make sure the watch was fully charged, this was easily achieved by using the enclosed usb lead which magnetically attached to the back of the watch, very nice..Once charged, it was time to turn it on and install the app on my phone. Once again, easy to do, as the pamphlet has a QR code on it to scan on your phone which takes you to the app download and then guides you through.The app is where you can change the watch face look to your preference from several available, I chose a sports watch style with cogs that turn.Also the app is where you find the stored info from the watches tracking in more detail, very handy.So once I installed the app, I finally put the watch on, which is very comfortable to wear, and the strap has many holes in it to get the comfiest fit.The watch has as we wanted a step counter, but this was just the start of the magic!You also have a blood pressure monitor and heartbeat checker, which prove interesting to look at and review after different activities.One of the most interesting features is one that I initially didn't think I would use, as didn't want to get obsessive or worried about, is the sleep tracking feature.This shows you how long each night you sleep, and how much of it is deep sleep or light. Magic!The watch also has many other features that I will probably not use as more involved and more closely linked to your phone.Some of these are calls, listening to music and even telling your phone to take a picture?!All in all, I cannot believe this watch can do all it does at such a low price. As an introduction to smart watches I would recommend this one to everyone.You cannot go wrong, give it a go!

This watch has served its purpose - I bought a cheap smart/fitness watch to test to see how I got on with it before I invest in a “proper” one. Turns out I do use it, or rather, I would really like to be able to. It hardly ever functions properly so provides more frustrations than insights into my fitness and health.The first watch I received had a poor battery life and wouldn’t even last a day. The company were very kind to send me a replacement which seemed to work better. Can’t fault the customer service, though a slightly unprofessional and informal communication style was used and I ended up on a spam list so had to block them.(Side note: I also received an additional watch - different make - for free to try in exchange for a review, but I ended up allergic to the strap as it’s such cheap plastic that I couldn’t test it properly.)Anyway, I digress. The second replacement watch has a better battery life but there are so many other issues I’m getting close to throwing it out the window.If I have a “particularly active” day, (aka more than 10000 steps) half the screen shuts down and the system freezes. This is usually immediately after a run or period of intense activity so I presume it can’t cope with a bit of sweat or increased movement.I’m not convinced the step count is correct - I’m young fit and healthy, walk every day, and I don’t hit 10000 steps very often. You can set goals to achieve but these are pretty random and clunky - calories instead of steps, exercise time (I do more than it registers), and something about standing that I don’t quite understand.The app needs some serious user experience update and language checking - not everything has been translated correctly into English so takes some working out. It’s quite fiddly, clunky and feels quite dated.The screen is constantly malfunctioning onto the watch face design carousel where you can choose a different design. This buzzes every time so makes me think I’ve got a notification and needs actively clicking off.The watch is also constantly disconnecting from my phone or deciding to turn notifications off of its own accord.I know I have a high resting heart rate due to anxiety, but I seriously doubt it drops as low as 37 as it regularly does throughout the day - it is inaccurate.It doesn’t even reliably tell the time! I’ll often look and because it’s disconnected from either my phone or the clunky app, it’s in its own time zone.The only thing going for it is that it looks really nice. Very similar to an Apple Watch and most people think it is an Apple Watch until I explain it’s a piece of shite cheapo knock off that doesn’t do one thing reliably.Honestly, save your money for a real one…
