XREAL Beam Pro – Spatial Computing in Your Pocket (That Doesn’t Suck)
XREAL Beam Pro – Spatial Computing in Your Pocket (That Doesn’t Suck)AKA: The Most Fun I’ve Had Without a Screen… on a ScreenLook, I’ve been messing with tech since CRTs and dial-up, so believe me when I say: most "next-gen" gadgets feel like beta tests dressed up in shiny plastic. But the XREAL Beam Pro? This thing’s the real deal—it actually delivers on that “AR meets sci-fi workspace” experience without feeling like a Kickstarter prototype.Paired with the XREAL Air glasses, this turns your lap, your car, your freaking back porch into a multi-screen spatial setup. Imagine walking into a coffee shop and launching a floating 201" screen—while everyone else fights over power outlets. Yeah. That’s the vibe. And the Beam Pro isn't just a dongle. It’s a full Android-powered pocket device with USB-C video out, local apps, and seamless casting. I’ve used it to:Work inside a floating VS Code session while watching Peighton draw.Watch RDR2 playthroughs in bed like it’s an IMAX.Take Zoom calls without scaring people with a headset mic from 2037.The eye-tracking and spatial pinning? Surprisingly accurate. No lag, no weird screen drift. Whether I’m browsing YouTube or SSH-ing into my Unraid server, the UI stays locked in space like it was nailed to my brain. What I Like:Insanely immersive when paired with XREAL glasses—think private IMAX, not gimmicky ARAndroid core + touchscreen = you don’t need a phone or laptop to run itReal productivity: Open multiple windows, pin them in space, feel like Tony StarkUSB-C charging, low heat, portable as hellDoesn’t drain your main device’s battery—huge win for travelWhat Could Be Better:UI still has some growing pains—could use firmware polishAndroid OS feels slightly “vanilla” (but you can sideload, so who cares)Needs a dedicated carrying case. It deserves better than floating in my backpack with USB cables and granola bar crumbs.

Works for me
Exceeds my expectations - physically it resembles, and when the Xreal glasses are unplugged, works like a nice rather larger display Android phone. It runs every app I have thrown at it very nicely. Plug the Xreal glasses in and you move into the world of the Nebula OS. Now that takes some getting used to! To control the cursor I expected the phone maybe to act like a trackpad, but it does not! Instead (and it dawned on me because we are dealing in 3d space) it works like an air mouse! Once I figured that out, and then to press and hold the home icon at the bottom of the phones screen when I got lost, I stopped cursing it :) It works great... the ^$%# thing was not defective after all!!I mostly use it to watch videos and for that this combo is great. You can enlarge the virtual screen up to a giant size like you are in the front row at the theater and the quality remains very high, Wow! I have only dabbled with the 3d camera a little but it seems to work very well and is a nice bonus feature! To me this unit is a bargain for what all it does and I am very happy with it so far.

Great device but just not for me
I returned this item, recommended by the Xreal website. I have an I phone15. I received a quick course on using my I phone. It was the best case scenario for me. There are things that this device provides that I will not be able to accomplish with the I phone. I may try this device later. but for now I’m doing alright without it.

Tested with XReal One
I picked up the XReal One glasses and wondered would the Beam Pro provide any benefit. Nothing on any ads would indicate a need for this product, but my USB-C port is barely functional and this has a Stereoscopic camera. The device itself feels like any mobile phone when it's not connected to glasses. It seems on the camera side the autoficus alogorythm doesn't really seem to track (if at all). And if you are only used to taking pics/vids in Auto this probably will not be your cup of tea. In decent light the video quality was adequate and it's more than usable. When connected to to the XReal One's the Nebula software boots up putting you into a osuefo VR space. None of the functionality of the X1 chip is present. If you want to watch a stereoscopic video, you can't change it to 3D mode. And aiming the cursor around is a pain in the rear.I also bought the google TV device for Ray Neos. That has googke Home on it and for simple streaming was a better alternative. However, if you want a 3D camera or need a phone replacement/substitue for streaming this works, but needs updating to take advantage of the XReal One and provide a better user navigation experience.

Outstanding AR Experience with XREAL Beam Pro Phone
Bought XREAL Air 2 Pro AR Glasses a few weeks before getting the XREAL Beam Pro Phone just to get the full AR experience with XREAL! Overall the experience has been outstanding and I recommendate everyone to try it!The image quality is outstanding, with vibrant colors and crisp details that make movies, presentations, and games come to life. The portability is a huge plus – I can easily take it anywhere, and the built-in battery lasts surprisingly long, even during extended use.Setup was a breeze, and the user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. Since I am a huge movie lover and I do travel a lot, having the phone paired with the glasses enables me to take my personal movie theaters anywhere I go.Rapid charging with type c charing port and decent battery long can last movies and games to finish.Overall, if you are a big traveller like me, recommendated to get the set for next level AR experiences.
