This is a fantastic mailbox!
The media could not be loaded. Both my mailman and I love this thing. It’s sturdy, very easy to hang, and so far has proven to be fairly waterproof. However, just as a precaution I still intend to give it a bead of RTV to seal it up once the temperature gets warmer.I chose not to install the enclosed red flag, as I live in a very windy area. Instead, I picked up a reflective magnet to let the mailman know to stop by. (It’s visible from the highway, as my house sits back a fair distance.)The mailbox is big enough for magazines and small boxes, and doesn’t have any sharp edges to snag or cut you.I would suggest a couple of extremely minor modifications:First, put a couple of spacers between the mailbox and the wall. If you don’t, and screw it down tight, the lid will not open. I used a couple of plastic caps from milk jugs, as they’re the perfect size, inert, and impervious to insects and weather.Second, I would suggest installing a small bit of thin weatherstripping along the underside of the lid to keep it from banging.Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I am disabled, and thanks to this mailbox I only have to reach out the door to get my mail.

Cute mailbox but bizarre flag position
Cute mailbox that is easy to hang. However, the top came a bit bent, so the top flap is a little hard to open. Additionally, the flag on the side is very bizarre- if installed, it either points directly forward towards the street or points up. There is no way for it to just swing down on the mailbox side due to the metal piece that it came with. As a result, I am going to use a different flag or none at all on this.

Much sturdier then the last one I had that was torn apart by the wind. Well worth the price easy to mount.

Love this mailbox! Great large size and looks nice! I've had it like a year and it still looks nice and its sturdy.
