Q: will I need to buy dye salt too?

I used this to dye towels and didn’t use dye salt

Q: Would this work on a carpet?

I don’t think so maybe a small rug if able to get in a washing machine

Q: Would this work for outdoor furniture cushion covers?

I doubt it if the cushion covers have been waterproofed for outdoors

Q: How many do you need to use for curtains?

I had a pair of cream curtains I wanted to dye black. I packet turned them a nice mid grey (which I actually prefered) but not black so I'd suggest 2 packets.
