This air fryer is brilliant well worth the money has got got two sections and the middle divider comes out then making it one compartmentGood size. Looks smart too in black the windows are brilliant to see the food .Cooks food brilliant. After much reading up about them found it hard to find one with a divider , salter brand excellent . I really like this air fryer. I was going to buy a Ninja but they take up too much space. By comparison, the Salter is surprisingly compact considering its 7 Ltr. It actually fits inside my main oven which it has replaced. It is also very quiet and shows no sign of an overheating problem. The controls are easy to master and the temperature and timing can be adjusted while its running. The internal lighting and the window are great for keeping an eye on the progress of the cooking. The removable divider makes it very versatile. You can sync or match the two compartments or remove the divider to roast a sizeable chicken. Overall, its a great little machine.

PROS: Quiet, Flexible basket size, Independent controls for each cooking zone, Sync cooking feature, Fits accessories for Ninja machinesCONS: Basket not dishwasher safe, User manual lackingIN DEPTH: I bought this to replace a dual basket air fryer by the leading brand that failed just outside its warranty period. Very pleased with it, in fact I prefer it to the previous one which was a bit unpredictable and sometimes burnt the food unexpectedly.The biggest plus point with the Salter is the flexibility of the large basket with a divider, as opposed to having two separate baskets. This means you can cook e.g. chips at 210 on the left and sausages at 190 on the right, and have them both finish at the same time using the Sync function. Or, you can take the divider out, and roast a whole chicken. I have also cooked a fry up with the divider out and the basket happily took all the ingredients for two people. It's also extremely quiet when in use.I have two silicone baskets and two racks which I bought for the Ninja, and these fit the Salter perfectly with the divider in.One drawback is the user manual which is very basic and doesn't go into a lot of detail. For example, it doesn't specify that you have to use the "Match cook" function if you take the divider out, so that both "sides" function as one. Also, the drawer isn't dishwasher safe, but that isn't a problem for me.CONCLUSION: Thoroughly recommended.REASON FOR RATING: One star taken off for lack of dishwasher safe components and the poor user manual.

I’ve been using a single drawer air fryer for a couple of years now and got on quite well with it, but at times I wished I’d had a two draw one. Everyone rates the Ninja ones but I didn’t want to spend the amount they cost so looked at a few others. In the end I decided on the Salter which is reasonably priced. I was surprised at how compact it looked and because the drawer fronts are stainless steel it lifts the whole look compared to the all-black models. (Why are they all black? So drab). It’s very easy to use and the drawers are so easy to clean. I’m over the moon with it.

I bought this for my mum and first impressions were very favourable. She particularly liked the flexibility of 1 or 2 compartments and this was the only model we found with this feature.After a couple of weeks though she turned it on and the whole display was flashing and beeping constantly and no amount of resetting made any difference.Amazon's return service is flawless. The fault developed on Thursday evening. We dropped it off at a local shop the following morning and had a replacement by Sunday afternoon so we'll done Amazon.Remains to be seen whether the replacement will have a longer life than the first, hence the 3 stars.UPDATEScore reduced from 3 stars to 1. The second one has failed in a similar fashion. Not beeping this time but display constantly flashing again and will not start cooking. Unfortunately this time it is outside the 30 day return period and so I've no idea what will be involved to try and get Salter to provide a refund. My mum certainly doesn't want another replacement Salter fryer.

This is one of the cheapest 2-drawer air fryers for a reason, at the end of the day it does its job, but I would very much recommend spending more if you can.I like the versatility of being able to use one big compartment, so if you're on a budget this may make it worth it.However the instructions are surprisingly lacking, we couldn't find an explanation on how to use it as one big compartment, so at first we didn't realise you had to press the 'match' button for it to select both heating elements.The power is weak, it took 25-30 minutes to cook food to the same level that the Ninja air-fryer we replaced this with takes 15 minutes to cook.The interface is pretty lacking, the buttons are done by touch instead of physical buttons, and frequently they don't register when you touch them, and once it starts cooking it's very hard, sometimes impossible to change it, even if you unplug the machine.I would also recommend using greaseproof paper over the plates, as the non-stick didn't last very long

Very quiet air fryer with touch sensitive screen. Useful size without the divider in, and handy with the divider in for cooking two foodstuffs at different temperatures.
