The item works as advertised. I'd have given it 5 stars if it came with a splitter to allow the in-box power switch and LED to continue working. I ended up buying a splitter and even that is a sub-optimal solution because it's harder to make sure I have LED polarity right.A simple header plug extension to support operating the original case power-on switch as well as the remote would have made this quite decent product into a great one.

This is such an ingenious product. My computer is placed under my desk and sideways to show the side window. The power button is on the top of the case, but it's still too far away for me to reach each time I need to turn it on.Then I found this little gadget. It was so easy to install and route the cable to the bottom of my desk, where I was able to just mount it to a metal leg. Yes, this thing is magnetic (and a strong magnet) so I didn't need to mess with any double-sided tape or anything.I also read another review recommending to put the power LED to the HDD LED, so I can see the blinking that the computer is thinking and not just a static light. Love this thing! It changed my daily shut downs too, I rarely ever use the Start Menu any more haha

This little button worked great for my PC build. My PC is very tall and up on a shelf so reaching the power button is a bit of a pain. So I got this so I could mount the button lower for easier access. It took a little bit to get it connected properly because you have to connect the regular power button over this one on the motherboard. Once I got that sorted it worked great! I have been using it for a couple of months now with zero failures and I have no complaints.
