WN54 4-Tray Worm Composting Bin Kit with Coco Coir Brick for Recycling Food Waste, Worm Castings, Worm Tea, Vermiculture and Vermicomposting

I've had this bin for a few months now, and it's nice, compact, easy to use, and relatively clean. If you're looking to get a load of worm compost within even two months, you might need to lower your expectations. It really is small. But it's a fun way to make compost indoors, especially when the weather starts to get cold. And I have two young boys, who find it hilarious and interesting!I started off with some red wrigglers bought at my local pet store, which probably only had around 25 worms (hence, the slowness). I now have no idea how many I have, it's been maybe 5 months, and I just added the second tray on top of the initial one. I still have not harvest the castings below, but I have the luxury of not being in a hurry. There's very little smell, as long as you add shredded paper on top every time you add food, and don't add food too quickly. As long as it's closed, I don't smell anything at all, and I don't get a ton of leftover liquid at the bottom either.Overall, love the product. I may contemplate getting a larger one in future but right now, that's just not feasible, and I'm quite happy with how this has turned out so far.

The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased a Worm Nerd vermicomposting bin and have been immensely pleased with it as an addition to my greenhouse and garden. I'll start by saying the bin is incredibly well-made, easy to assemble, and keeps my worms very happy. It comes with 2 more stackable trays that hold a heaping amount of castings. Pretty nifty built-in aeration system beneath to ensure that the compost never gets overly wet or too dry, the drain holes make it easy to manage excess moisture, plus you have a tap and can collect the worm juice to feed houseplants or veggies. The plastic is also TOUGH, durable enough to keep out any pests or critters, which I have had issues with in other bins. Overall, this is an excellent product and has made vermicomposting a breeze, even my girlfriends 10 year old soon loves to help tend to the worms. Highly recommend! 🪱

Very easy to put together and no leaks or issues.I put divided cardboard along the bottom instead of newspaper (don't have that, just circulars with lots of ink) and mixed half of the included coco coir (which was loose in a bag and not as a brick as stated) with equal amount moist shredded paper and drizzled about a tablespoon of ground egg shell and oats (from coffee grinder) and let that sit for a couple days before a small order of 50 worms arrived. I lightly spread them around and covered with dry shredded paper to near the top of the tray. I made sure the lid closed tightly and that was two weeks ago and none have crawled out the top or drowned in the bottom tray, and I saw a few when I last buried a small (2 tbsp) feeding. I thought I might have prepped it a little dry, but there was a decent amount of fairly clear water in the bottom tray later when I checked and the spout worked well to drain most of it out. No odor at all, but I haven't put much actual kitchen scraps in yet.If you want to get castings sooner or give larger feedings, you should get more worms than I did, and I didn't save much with a smaller order, but I don't mind waiting since we're months away from spring and they're more likely to grow in number with more room, and I already compost waste with bokashi, as well.I'm not sure how to use the clear tier, and the instructions don't mention it. Putting it on the top would encourage the worms to go deeper away from the light, but not sure how that helps, unless they're trying to escape? I'm not sure a third tray is really needed anyway. The seller included contact info, so will reach out in the future if they don't maybe respond here.Lastly, I recommend also getting a "succulent cultivator" to help gently move bedding/soil around.

The bin seems fine for the food waste from family of three. Easy to use and seems to do the trick. The spigot was too big for the hole though, and we had to file down the spigot and add silicon adhesive to then attach/ seal it to the tray. I don’t think many people would go through that trouble to make it work, considering it should be a ready to use new product.Still waiting for the silicon to fully dry before trying out getting compost tea. Fingers crossed it works and doesn’t leak.

Works fairly well on my deck. Maybe I should’ve bought a bigger one, but it’s not a bad starter size. Definitely needs protection from the rain, though, since it accumulates in the bottom through the cracks between the levels.

Im a complete beginner and decided to start vermicomposting at home. Ive had this bin for a couple of months now and my worms love it. They are even laying eggs😍. Im so happy everything is turning out good for now. i also added a mesh on the first tray so they dont get to the bottom tray (where liquid is collected).

It’s too small to function properly. I thought it would be comparable to other worm towers at half price but it’s like 10x9 inches. Once I got the bedding down and added one kitchen scrap session it was full and the bins wouldn’t sit properly allowing for worms to escape. Like how much input and output would you get from as system like this and is it worth it extra work to keep your worms alive. Feels like a scam cus your worms would be dead by the Amazon return period expired. Get the better proven system or DIY one for a fraction of the price.P.S I struggled to get the spigot on and had to clean up the plastic with a razor. Poor quality control and no breathing holes either

Quality is great - but the size turns out to be way too small for my composting volume. I wish it had more trays to expand the size and capability.
