I was very relieved when i seen the package weight is 98lbs i thought oh wow i read that base is made of steel which i like since i have a big yard and sometimes tree branches can hide or metal as the previous owner was a farmer and metal pieces fall of his truck or something. Easy to assemble came with oil, extra filter, funnel. At first had a hard time cutting as it used the side shoot, i switched to the bad wow a big difference the cut was i was wanting. The self propelled at first was unhappy until i let it do the work being a person with CHF lol It wanted to the job verses me pushing it i let it do the work very good ease of manuever 5 stars, value for the price money well spent others were offering self propelled but did not have the 201cc engine and 6 speeds i was wanting. I recommend this lawnmower if you in the market for a self propelled it doesn't consume that much gas too thats a nother plus almost forgot to mention that.

Yardmax makes a good mower. They are powerful, the rear wheel drive is great, and they are affordable. The speed control takes a little finesse but once you find your speed it's great. It always starts on the second pull, even if it's been sitting for more than a week. I needed to replace a blade and consumer service was really great. Make sure you register your mower so warranty parts are covered. Recommended.

The media could not be loaded. My biggest complaint with this mower is the Self-propel is on the back wheels. My old mower was front wheel self-propel and I would raise the front wheels on turns. With this mower, you have to release the self-propel handle on each turn (which is not too user friendly). If you do not release the handle, it will peel out on the grass.My issue that I have now is the self-propel now only goes at a turtle pace no matter what I have the lever adjusted to. And I called customer service (out sourced overseas). I had to take the base off to send a picture of the belt which is not my issue. In the process of doing that, I had to get out a lot of grass that was in the undercarriage. If you have to do this regularly, I’d pass on this mower completely. And I have not heard back from customer service as of yet.Yardmax now wants me to pay to fix a mower that is less than 5 months old and Amazon has been no help at all.Do not buy if it the last mower on the market!I was finally transferred to a supervisor with Amazon (I have a print of the conversation) who said they could make an exception to allow me to get a warranty credit for this lemon. However, when I called Amazon back after not hearing anything, I was informed that the supervisor misspoke. Will never order a mower online.Per the manufacturer, I was informed to bring the mower to a repair shop. I was informed that the ignition coil (on a mower I used a handful of times) was bad. However, since the engine is from china, they could not get parts or repair.So now, I am stuck.Amazon needs to completely remove this mower from their website. Terrible customer service and I am now stuck with a six month old mower that no one will do anything to repair or replace.Never buy it! If I could give minus stars, I would.All Yardmax customer service wants me to do if find a repair shop and then not pay for the repair. Amazon needs to remove this product immediately!

YardMax has come a long way with their mowers. It has a powerful engine and appears to be quality made. While it can go fast, the slow setting is exactly that ... slow. I am going to focus on why I took off one star.First, the speed selector keeps slipping from 3 to 1 for no reason. It is like it can't stay locked. Secondly, you have to grip two different bars. One to propel the mower and one to engage the blades. If you have small hands they are probably going to get sore. I would suggest wearing leather work gloves. And third, although the tires are rubber with nubs for traction, this is only good when the grass is dry. Otherwise the grass sticks to the tires and makes the traction moot.On the plus side, it has a great height adjustment lever, tires are great when it is dry, the metal frame appears to be good quality, and the engine is powerful. I don't live on a golf course. I have a real lawn with weeds and holes ... and this mower powers through without problems.Overall it is worth the price compared to other mowers in it's price range and size. One other thing to mention. If you saw the picture, the box was delivered soaking wet. It didn't get to the mower, but obviously it had set in a puddle of water to make this heavy box waterlogged. I was disappointed that UPS would allow that to happen.

We purchases this mower last summer and it was perfect for our acre lawn. We've had no problem thus summer either. Lawn looks great. It pulls right along so really we're just walking behind it and steering.

It a heavy duty lawnmower. Does a great job. It’s big and heavy, maybe a little too much for us being that my husband and I are seniors.

Hubby is very happy with his new lawn mower. It's so easy, even someone with chronic back issues can use it without causing themselves more pain.
