Great game
I assist a student with reading difficulties. This game has allowed us a few moments to break from reading to formulate words in a playful setting.

Fun and actually usefully educational
My students love this game and we also have the blends version. It’s really cute and the “pop” cards add a little bit of drama to a game they may have been boring eventually otherwise. It also, teaches kids not to be angry when things don’t quite go their way! This has been great for students that are currently working on word families. It helps give them some initial exposure to new ones in a fun way before they have studied them. You can also go though and pull just the ones you have already covered for a review that goes beyond a word or picture sort.

A must for a struggling reader. Must get the blends game too!!
This may be the only thing that will teach my son to read. We have made up our own rules and usually it is a high stakes game for candy. I also have the blends popcorn game so we choose one from each set to see if we can make funny words: fl- and -art makes flart. Of course then things get hilarious when we then make up definitions for the new words. Great family game and teaches sounding out words. As a homeschooling mom this is a boon and will be used for all three of my boys.
