Fantastic book
Before writing this review I have genuinely tried most of the recipes. I am not vegetarian or vegan but very interested in nutrition and love cooking healthy food, overall I love this cookbook, it’s full of easy interesting veggie recipes some of which have become firm favourites I make on a regular basis. The tumeric hummus is amazing, it’s my absolute favourite go to hummus recipe, I regularly make the quinoa chickpea tumeric curry and sweet potato cakes too, favourites from her first book like the black bean veggie chilli and butternut squash risotto are also regular dishes. It’s completely changed my diet in terms of I now eat more veggie dishes than meat. The only negative for me is the desserts, I’ve tried a few and they just don’t work for me at all, the recipes using mashed bananas or applesauce just turn out wet and tasteless, I made a batch of brownies that were so inedible i chucked them in the bin. Plus quite a few need large quantities of maple syrup and coconut sugar making them expensive and quite unhealthy. Otherwise my go to book for veggie starters and mains.

Amazing recipes!
You know how a lot of vegan cookbooks try to imitate traditional meals, but more often than not they end up having wrong taste or texture and you end up disappointed, missing your old eating habits?For years we've been looking for a vegan recipe book that would contain delicious recipes that would make us forget all about meat, dairy and all the other unhealthy foods from our past diet. And finally we've found it! Some of these recipes are soooo good - we can't get enough of them! And even when you cook a vegan Carbonara from this book - it is not trying to be like 'the real Carbonara', so instead of getting a pale copy you get a completely different meal, that has its own unique taste, texture and feel!Our favourite recipes are Maple Roasted Sprouts, Warming Potato Mash Bowl (with incredible kale crisps), Butternut Squash & Chickpea Salad. Most recipes have a little bit of a 'kick' to them, which is great for the winter - prevents you from craving rich and heavy meals.The sweets are incredibly delicious, but sometimes it seems a bit cruel to use half a kilo of medjool dates on one dessert. There wouldn't be enough dates in the world if we all wanted to stick to this kind of diet...All in all, can't recommend this book enough, there's not enough words of praise to do it justice! Get it, get it now! :)

Inspiring cookbook
I'm not vegan or vegetarian but eat a mainly vegetarian diet. I've had a couple of vegan meals recently and enjoyed them so much I was inspired to look out a cookbook which would allow me to try some exciting recipes for myself. I landed on this one due to the reviews. I've leafed through it a couple of times since receiving it a few days ago and I've cooked two kale recipes from it - absolutely delicious! I embellished the dish with a lovely fillet of roast trout, and these recipes allow you to do that. That said, there are many recipes which won't need adding to and I'm committing us to eating at least two meals from this book every week. There is not a single recipe in this book that I would not attempt and I would highly recommend it.

Love this book
Great book, lots of great ideas with relatively simple ingredients. Once you buy a supply of items,there are lots of recipes to use them and different things to try. Nothing takes too long to make and some really great ideas. Love this book, highly recommended

4 stars. Just started using it. Very hopeful.
Book immaculate. Purchased as used. Efficient delivery. Prepared three breakfast recipes already! Very scrummy. Starting with breakfasts first to help integrate us into healthy living. Initially expensive to buy some dry ingredients, but we wanted to change our eating lifestyle due to a chronic illness my child has. On a low wage, but a sacrifice I'm willing to take. Beautifully illustrated and designed book, with simply explanations. Provides alternative ingredients and gives you foundations of what to put in your store cupboard, how to store recipes once made. Intro makes a great read from author. Hoping this change will help my child have better quality of life, especially since author underwent life-changing health issues herself. Yes, definitely worth purchasing.
