I'm really happy with this lantern. I had read some reviews that mentioned how hard it would be to light a real candle in it. I can see how that would be a problem...you would definitely have to use a long lighter or match. I had panned on using an led candle in it....and that works great!

I ordered 3 of these and they're super cute. They look exactly like the photo. I read a review about cheap and flimsy... it's not big or heavy, but a larger (heavy) one is also twice the price, so for the price I'd say these are just fine.I use flameless LED candles (with remote) in mine. I suppose you can use real candles, but the top piece would get really hot. Real candles are probably not recommended for these.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

This lantern is adorable!!! Is way beyond what I expected!!!

Love them works really well in my country kitchen.

The two lanterns added a nice touch. I placed two battery operated candles inside and really enjoy when they come on in the evening. I knew they were reproductions so the light weight did not bother me. Some people may be dissaponted that they are not "real" lanterns. I am happy with my purchase.

This was so little! So disappointed in this item..

Quite disappointing. Looks great, but it is very lightweight and flimsy. Worse yet, it is extremely awkward to handle, e.g., just to insert and light candle. The glass chimney cannot be lifted straight up; you have to finagle it out of the holder at about a 45 degree angle, which then causes the candle to tip. Then, with candle finally lit, trying to blow it out is a challenge. The metal cap must be slid up to blow out candle from the top of chimney, but it (metal cap) gets too hot to handle once the candle is lit. I'm pretty coordinated and careful, but I managed to drop and break the glass chimney first time I tried using it. And, turns out the manufacturer does not sell replacement chimneys--so the unit is now unusable. Finally, as one other reviewer noted, the candle doesn't easily stay lit, apparently due to poor design causing lack of oxygen flow. The only way to keep candle lit is to lift and tilt the chimney slightly, so that it's not actually seated into the lantern. It's all wobbly, way too much work, and VERY expensive for the quality and limited utility. Save your money and buy something else. (As one reviewer noted, this goofy design might actually work if you stick with LED (fake) candles only. Still, it's very lightweight, so don't plan on hanging or setting outside where wind can hit it.)

REALLY cute, but the candle flame doesn't get enough air so the candle quickly burns out. Using it mostly for decoration; will probably put a LED candle in it.
