Loved this little tool, I do a lot of leatherwork and got a this strap cutter as a replacement to an older version I had. Works great, easy to put pieces together, and has nice thick blades to use for it.

The media could not be loaded. Strap cutter is made of cast aluminum. My product that I received had a stray sharp piece of metal on it. Should have been removed during production, however I sanded it off so I could use it safely. Upon using the cutter a few times, it seemed to improve it's strap cutting ability, possibly because the leather was sharpening the blade. Good price for what it does, and it comes with extra blades. I recommend this, however use safety precautions as it has an exposed blade. You might want to sharpen this with a leather strap before using to avoid frustration.

Sloppy machine tolerances mean the guide wiggles a bit within the handle so you're risking uneven cutting. Not great. But marginally better than no tool at all.

This leather cutting tool works great for my leather crafting needs.

If you mount this in a vice it's much easier to use. As for new razor blades I found if you grind a little material off the back edge of a utility knife blade it fits right into the mounting slot. Much cheaper and cuts just as good as the supplied blades.

The strap cutter works very well. The only thing I would say is that the arm that holds the blade can wobble up and down which could potentially put a slight angle on the edge cut. I stuff some paper underneath mine to hold it flush and that helped.Overall, it works great. The blades that it comes with a sharp and cut well out of the package but can also be stropped to hold a good edge over time.

It's rubbish. It's totally unusable. The ruler can't even go through it, and the screws are broken.
