It's 8 Inches - Pretty Small - Waffles Are Cookie Sized, But Easy To Make and Waffles Are Great
Pros:Although it doesn't come apart, it is easy to clean with a sponge and a kitchen towel. It is small so it stores easilyIt makes just the right amount of waffle for one person or child (about 1/4 - 1/2 cup of batter makes a waffle depending on how thick you make your mix.)It is extremely straightforward and easy to use.I'm not scared of getting burned by it like my last waffle maker that liked to close on me unexpectedly. It's sturdy and heavy. Over all it appears to be well constructed.Cons:When you first get it, run a test batch of batter through a few times, after you clean it, to remove all the chemical residue. When I first heated it up the chemical odor had me opening up windows and turning on a fan - you definitely do not want that in your cooking! My test batch of batter was 1 cup of self-rising flour, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, water. That was enough for three waffles but could have stretched it to four waffles with a thinner batter. Most appliances like this I would run a test batch of batter through first, not just this particular waffle iron. The waffles are much smaller than I had anticipated. Think - heart shaped cookies and you about have it. They vary in height depending on your batter but 1/2 inch is pushing it. Most of mine were a little less than that. The lights on the unit are very hard to see on / off. They're not very bright.Over All: Very easy to use, the easiest I've ever used actually. Would not work if you're doing a big family waffle morning, but just right for kid portions or a side item. Easy to store and clean.

Great for thin nordic waffles
The media could not be loaded. Makes thin Nordic waffles. They are great for making breakfast sandwiches and desserts. The waffles thos iron makes are great for freezing. Anyway, the waffle iron is sturdy and has indicator lights to tell you when it is ready. Took about 30 Seconds to heat up. I like that the nonStock coating is Pfas-free. Only bad thing is the cord is short-2 feet max.

A family tradition continues
My husband's grandmother made heart-shaped waffles for his mother when she was young, and she continued to make them for him when he was a child, too. When she passed, he was given her old waffle iron, which worked for several years. When it finally stopped working, I wanted to get a waffle iron that made waffles in the shape of hearts to continue the tradition, which I had grown to love. I looked at dozens of waffle irons, most of which were for Belgium waffles (about 80% of them). I didn't want waffles anywhere near that thick. The waffle irons that made heart-shaped waffles looked nice, but all the reviews I read said the waffles were so thin, they were more like waffle CONES. I was about to give up when I found this one. It had 2 reviews - one of which said it wasn't eco-friendly. I'm a review-reader, so its lack of previous customer reviews made me wonder if I should risk it.I am glad I did. The waffles aren't Belgium thick, nor are they waffle-cone thin. It isn't as hot as I might like, but they also don't get burned. I just turn my waffles around - literally, because of the symmetry of the iron, you can reposition your waffles perfectly and get the end of the waffles that were by the front closer to the hinge. The irons are nonstick, so the waffles never get attached and tear. It's as easy to clean as can be expected. I've had this waffle iron for several months, and it still works and looks like new.All in all, I'm very glad I took the risk of ordering this waffle iron. I can't believe it took me this long to write a favorable review, since that was one of the reasons I almost didn't buy it.

Now, this is it!
I love waffles - and so does my daughter. Every waffle recipe book she's ever looked at had heart-shaped waffles and that's what she really, really wanted (she's four...). I already own a fancy waffle maker - one of those contraptions that can make two waffles at the same time and that can be "flipped" - but it is square and not heart-shaped and the waffles are really thick. Thus, I set out to find the perfect waffle maker - one that produces heart-shaped waffles, one that bakes the waffles at an even shade of golden brown, and one that produces waffles that are nowhere near as thick as the square belgian waffles my other waffle maker makes.I found finding such a waffle maker online rather impossible - you can't really see the contraption and thus, you don't really know how big the waffles will be nor, more importantly, how thick or thin they will be. Descriptions of this waffle maker seemed to include a lot of "the waffles are neither too thick nor too thin" - which is nice, but doesn't really tell me if the waffles will meet my expectations. I was unable to find a heart-shaped waffle maker in the store and thus, decided to simply buy this one on a whim.Well, so here I am with my new waffle maker and really like it. There's not much in terms of set-up - plug in, select shade of golden brown you want, put batter in, wait until the "ready" light comes on, and eat. This is as simple as it gets - and it should be. It's also how just about every single waffle maker I have ever owned has functioned - thus, please forgive me for not going into the specifics of which light comes on when, etc. If you've ever seen a waffle maker, you'll know how this thing works. Now, the waffles are not the biggest - but they are big enough. The waffles also do not come out with a consistent golden brown hue - instead, there is a much lighter spot in the center - I found this somewhat irrelevant but still worth mentioning while also providing a reason for the subtraction of one star. How thick are the waffles? Neither too thick nor too thin. There's really no better way to describe them and I finally grasp the other reviewers. The waffles are just right - the way you want them.I am happy and my daughter is happy - and I think you will be, too. All you need now is a good recipe book and a gym membership. Yum.
