War veteran Johnnie Lane comes home to find his sweetheart, Mary Reynolds, completely distraught. Her dad will go blind unless she can raise the money for a costly operation. Johnny and a few of his war pals ""borrow"" the surgeon's fee from a railroad safe intending to repay the money before it is discovered. A jealous rival learns of the scheme and does his best to send Johnnie to prison for a long time. Transcontinental Limited boasts spectacular action train footage using real locomotives and scenery.
