It does work for small brush
The poor reviews are primarily the fault of the buyer. #1 sharpen the blade (AS NEEDED!!) #2 Yes it’s a workout, but with a little practice small ares of brush are very doable. .25 to .5 diameter.

May not be like the picture.
The product was not as pictured. I wanted the single sided shaped like an L but got the double sided shaped like a Y. It will do the job but not the one I wanted.

Solid Craftsmanship In A Manual Weed Cutter
This is a grass and weed cutter that won't immediately bend and break when I don't see the big rock I hit with it.It has a dull 'edge' like a Medieval broadsword, intended to break the grass and weeds, not slice them...or me.Using it much will require me to develop some more muscles--it's heavy.
