Per the instructions on measuring my neck i was 1/2" smaller than the dimensions for a small ... so again, per instructions I ordered a "small" and you guessed it, it was too small. It is also NOT returnable so I need to find someone with a small neck that needs a brace. I have since ordered and received the next size larger (medium) and it works fine. Good brace for the money.

After reading the reviews I made sure I ordered a size up, but the velcro area was still too short, making it uncomfortable. The foam is stiff and the covering fabric a bit rough for my purposes which was to sleep with it for neck stabilization for CPAP therapy. Perhaps for day use it would be okay for neck support. but you may need to order two sizes up because of the short velcro.

The fitting chart runs very small and the velcro to close it is only about 1" long so the tight fit can't be corrected by letting it out at the closure. There is no way to make a return as the company puts you into a never ending loop to try to "fix the problem". The fact that it does not fit is not fixed by any of the suggestions. I will not do business with this company again and I did read this warning on other reviews. It is not opened out of the inner sealed packaging, so I didn't think I'd have a problem. So, even though I did measure, the skimpy length of the collar combined with the short velcro fastener made for something I can't wear comfortably.

UPDATE Jan 7 2024: Still love this collar. I will probably need a neck operation down the road, but as long as I wear this during the day, I don't have headaches! If I don't wear it, the headaches come back, so I know that's the cause. My spine is compressing (I'm 75!) but this collar keeps my head erect and takes the pressure off my neck so I should be good for a few more years maybe.------------I was surprised that this has helped me so much so soon. I have neck arthritis pretty bad, giving me headaches (actually, have arthritis pretty much everywhere one can have arthritis). Also, the 'crunches' when I moved my neck concerned me. So I thought I'd try this collar. It has really helped me in the short time I've been wearing it. No more headaches (amazing!). It keeps my head at the right position so I don't get the crunchy sounds much, which I imagine would keep the situation from worsening. I do NOT want to have spinal surgery any time soon. I only wear it a few hours a day and don't sleep with it (I think I would find that uncomfortable). So glad I got it.

I Fractured my Cervical Neck from C1 through C3 in early June 2023. After 6 horrible, painful, & scary weeks in the Hospital & Rehab to learn how to even live now, I was told they were fortunately incomplete fractures, so I am not Paralyzed from my neck down & zippers did not die from this horrific injury caused by a fall in home. But it was not healing at all this time & they could not do any surgery to put it back together or stabilize the fracture to prevent either death or paralysis from the neck down in my future!!! The best thing I needed to do it never fall again (which did not happen because I fell recently at 3 months after the original injury ), & to remain in a Cervical Collar the rest of my life. I HAVE TO WEAR the original very rigid collar when leaving home, traveling in a vehicle, or anywhere or anytime e I will be in an unfamiliar place e that could lead to another neck injury! This I have done. I also can wear a Soft Collor like these OTC collars while at home including while I sleep & eat. This Collar is so much more comfortable than the rigid one especially because of6 the lower chin support from 3 1 /2 inches to a 2 1 /2 inch support. My head no longer feels hyperextended, I can eat easier, & I can talk now & actually be heard & u derstood!!! I highly recommend the OTC soft Cervical Brace/Collar.

This is a perfect width and as long as I don't get too tight, it is very comfortable. I measured my neck and because of some of the reviews here and also because I was on the border of going up one size, I did move up and although I can use this one, I think I could have gone with the smaller size as well. I have to put this one on as far as it will go. Otherwise it is good and is helping along with some exercises.

This collar is great for my neck. It fits comfortably around my short neck and under my chin where the medium size did not. The black color is great in comparison to the white ones that cannot be cleaned when stains appear. I have chronic neck pain that becomes more acute at times and this collar helps with positioning and pain in those times.

I had a fall and fractured two vertebrae’s, and after wearing on aspen collar for four months, the soft foam collar was a relief and still give me the support that I needed. I would buy it again if I needed to.

Being able to order by width and length is a big plus. Much better than others that presume to make one size fits all.
