Works but not flawless
Works most of the time but it’s gone offline twice while I was traveling and there is no way to recover from that until you get home and can reset it, that’s frustrating when it happens a few days into a two week trip. There is no external reset, which is probably a good thing, you have to remove power and hold the bell button down until it discharges the internal battery to force a reset so it’s not exactly trivial to do and not something anyone else in the family is comfortable dealing with. The easiest way is probably to remove the unit from the mounting plate and then reinstall it, while not exactly hard it is a bit of a hassle. WiFi signal strength is not the issue in this case as it’s well within the expected signal strength at the doorbell location. Electrical power to the unit is also good with plenty of margin to the device specifications even with wire drop accounted for. The support person was moderately helpful but concluded it must be a bad unit and they would replace under warranty. I’m not so sure but I’ll try it and update later if it turns out they were correct. I’m also hoping the replacement unit will also fix an issue I’m having of the motion detection area not working properly. I’ve reduced the area to the front walk and door area, eliminating the street to cut down on false triggers from passing cars. This doesn’t do as much as I’d hoped as I still get quite a few false alerts on passing cars that are all well outside the detection zone I’ve established. I’m certainly not going to pay for their cloud service until I feel their device is reliable to begin with and worth the added expense. When it works the video quality is good to great, the motion detection generally works well but there was one instance where recording latency caused me to not see a face but rather a person walking away from the door, but that is the exception so far.

Wireless Camera requires power outlet, unreliable motion detection and cloud service expensive
I purchased the Zmodo Sight 180 Outdoor Wireless Security Camera six months ago. I was initially disappointed because the wireless part only pertains to the wireless WiFi capability. It still requires a wired power connection. Therefore, if you plan to install this outdoor camera outside, make sure you have an electrical outlet outside near the location you wish to install the camera(s).As far as the motion detection goes, I am not very happy with the motion detection. Sometimes it detects motion, but most of the time it does not. I bought the two pack of cameras and I have one located at my front door and one at my back door. Most of the time when someone walks up to the door it doesn’t notify me of any motion detection. I live in a quiet neighborhood with very little vehicle traffic. The camera at my front door faces the road (at a distance of about 25 yards) and it detects and notifies me of vehicles more than it does someone walking right up to my door.I tried the trial cloud service and I liked it but once the trial period ended it was too expensive to purchase. It costs $50 a year for one camera and another $25 for the second camera. I wish I would have purchased the Ring Doorbell Camera. Family members have the Ring devices and the cloud service is only $30 a year and that price covers all ring devices. Not to mention the motion detection and picture clarity is unbeatable on the Ring Doorbell Camera and they are rechargeable and installed without an outside power outlet. I will probably be purchasing the Ring Doorbell Cameras and taking down my Zmodo Cameras very soon.

Research cloud recording price before purchase
4 stars because recording plan after trial period is $2.50 to $5.00 per camera and per month. Zmodo needs to better mirror competitors recording plans that are more affordable and charge a max per month for unlimited cameras (Ring, Arlo, etc.). If you want cloud recording determine a breakeven price when comparing Zmodo to others.Pro- Nice camera and Zmodo has free 10 second clips with alerts. 110v power, so no charging batteriesNeg.- cloud recording monthly costs and requires 110v power which limits where you can put camera

Update. Added 3 Stars
The product, in my experience, will not work on a 5GHz network (they're own app says so too) even though their promotion says it will. However, when I installed one at a 2.4GHz location, the results were absolutely first rate. Great product. If this were my only experience, I would have easily given it 5 Stars. They still lose one for no support and erroneous promotion re: 5GHz.

Great images, no audio or display adjustment menu
The camera is quality is great, it looks good and does what is says it supposed to do, if you want to hear audio this is not the camera to buy, no Mic or speaker which should be standard on this.model, and there's no camera adjustments available so you can't lighten the image or darken like the zmodo greet.,for surveillance only, great image and great motion sensor.

I would have bought a different camera
You have to place this camera at eye level to record a face. The camera has limited view up and down.

180 degree view is a WOW!
2 cameras cover the front and back fully in HD. These have been the most reliable and easiest to set up - on my 4th set. Cool fast forward capability when on the cloud server also.
