It is made of high quality materials, is very supportive of your bulk at the front and open at the buttocks. This does indeed reduce chafing and is surprisingly comfortable. I am 6 foot tall with a 32 inch waist. In shorts sized S to XL, I normally order Small. From the manufacturer's size guide, Medium seemed appropriate.The strap is a perfect fit; snug without being overly tight. There's plenty of support at the front. The fabric is incredibly soft making it comfortable front and back.
