It fits!
The converter is very well made. I needed it for my Milwaukee heavy duty (hatchet) saws all. This saw had the 18v. nicad and with much research this is the only one that would fit.So happy I am able to save my saw.

Not for Milwaukee 18v tools.. won't lock & output showed 19+ volts
The media could not be loaded. This product will not lock into place on the tool, it only locks on to the battery. The last thing anyone needs is a batter sliding off due to vibrations with something like a 7-1/4 inch circular saw. Talk about a safety hazard and a lawsuit waiting to happen when someone cuts themselves from a sudden imbalance or blade-kickback. Watch the video just how easy it is to bump the batter off.I'm not willing to buy something new and immediately cut and modify the adapter as one reviewer did. So I measured, took photos, and documented... The shoe-plate that mates the adapter to the tool is about 2mm too short as designed (as another reviewer wrote, about 1/16th inches off). Tool needs it to reach ~4.4 cm and the adapter has a reach of ~4.2 cm.The documentation says things like, "inert battery into battery adapter..." -- if they can't spell correctly (i.e. "insert"), it doesn't fit, and they write product documents with incorrect grammar, should I even trust this won't damage my well built $200 Milwaukee tools? This lead me to check the adapter voltage regulation (pushing higher volts on a tool designed for lower volts will run more current through wires and circuits not designed for the heat nor amps leading to burn-outs). I had 100 ohm resister which doesn't load-up the battery quite like my Milwaukee tool (saw is probably more like 3 to 6 ohms)... but it should be a "fixed voltage" circuit inside the saw since it's a battery powered circuit (i.e. volts shouldn't change as resistance changes, only current will change), the adapter output was 19.2v for a full charged DCB204 battery and 19.0v for one that had 2 out of 3 bars of charge. Maybe that doesn't sound like much but it's about 7% more current to the circuits and motor. For a tool that has split-second saw brake timing and other circuits, it's not worth the chances it could shorten my tool's life -- not to mention, it just doesn't fit/lock on.I should have paid more attention to the written reviews vs the misleading rating. Folks happy with this are putting it on Ryobi tools? Milwaukee reviews say this doesn't fit? Not only does it not fit, 19.2v is not 18v as stated, just as Ryobi tools are not Milwaukee tools.

May not fit your M18 tool
UPDATE: Seller read my review and did everything they could to make it right. I was surprised and would rate the seller as a 5-star! Product is a 3-star and I will be keeping it and using it as I had intended - as a "just in case" item. I think it is the best available item of it's type that I've found.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this to have as a "just in case" type item since most of my cordless tools are yellow (so I have a lot of yellow batteries) but I just bought a red M18 inflator. Upon initial inspection, the adapter seemed like a decent piece, especially for the $10 price. The yellow battery fit right into the adapter perfectly. However, the adapter (with or without the yellow battery) would not lock into my M18 inflator. It would insert just fine most of the way except for the last 1/16" or so. That distance was enough to make it so that the locking tabs would not engage. I have read this occured in some other reviews of this product, but thought it might have been the reviewer or just an odd case.I was going to return the adapter, but decided to disassemble it to see why it wouldn't work because to the naked eye, it looked like it should fully insert and lock in fine. After some trial and error, I was able to determine that the female connectors on the circuit board were the issue. The connectors would not open wide enough to fully accept the tools male terminals. This was due to the opening travel of the connectors being limited by the plastic molded dividers inside the adapter, so it would effectively bind up just before full insertion. It's hard to explain, but I was able to compress the terminals so that I could make the adapter functional. If you get one and it won't lock in, I believe the only solution to make it work will be to disassemble the adapter and modify it by filing the plastic locking tabs or more appropriately modifying the terminal connectors so you get full contact. It will still work as it is, but it might not "lock in" to your tool fully.

Works great!
Won a metal gas can that was converted into a speaker with a Milwaukee battery port. Ordered this and got to hook my dewalt battery to it and jam out immediately!

Great Tool
Great product I have more dewalt batteries than I have Milwaukee and this product works great some tools dose not work because of size constraints but for most applications it works great
