This the second one I have bought. I feel I need to stress the importance of following the instructions for successful germination as a lot of peoples seem to have missed the most important part......PUT THEM IN THE FRIDGE FOR 3-4 WEEKS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING. You need to simulate the winter months for the seeds to realise it's time to come to life. Then follow the instructions for each individual tree. In 3 years time you won't regret it

Beware, this package comes with a card telling buyers if they leave a review on Amazon, then they'll get a free toolkit. I think this could be skewing reviews. Also, when trying to apply for the toolkit, the website wouldn't let me complete it and their contact address is invalid. All seems a bit shady to me and like a way to try and bump the reviews up here under false pretences. So bear that in mind!Down to the actual item: the box comes with plenty of seeds (including some freebies) and all you need to get your bonsai started. Bought as a gift and they're really excited to grow some bonsai. Just started on a couple and can't wait to see how it turns out. Will update the review in a few weeks/months with whether or not the seeds worked.

It took some time and I thought it wasn't going to grow, but with a lot of love and some patience, this is my Wisteria and I am sooo pleased with it.

This is my first bonsai kit. really looking forward to getting started. The instructions are clear and easy to understand I'm just hoping the seeds germinate **update** the black pine seeds I planted have grown first after one week then second after 2 weeks I received the free tool kit also it's a good set metal with wooden handles here are pictures of the seedlings and tool kit

Update June 2019I've been trying to grow seeds from this kit for the last 8 months. Two of the free pomegranate trees are still going but the rest either died or did not germinate. One Judas seed germinated but died within a month, 2 pine trees germinated but also died quickly. The maple and wisteria seeds did not germinate. I followed the instructions but obviously it requires a bit more than this to succeed. As a reference I have a Chinese elm bonsai I grew from seed so I'm not completely useless.The free tools arrived and look fine BTW.September 2018It arrived in good condition, instructions seem easy to follow. Let's see if any seeds germinate.

Bought for my 11 year old daughter who enjoys growing things from seed and wanted to try Bonsai’s.Box arrived promptly, well packaged - everything needed to get started and contents exactly as described/illustrated.The clippers are of good quality, sharp and easy enough for smaller hands to use.Enough seeds of each of the 4 tree varieties to allow for some not germinating (not tried any just yet).A nice little touch (which delighted my daughter) was to find some additional Free Pomegranate seeds AND some Sunflower seeds in there too.Instructions are well-written and comprehensive, with tips and guidance for the germination process and general planting needs of each tree.The pot is a durable plastic, but this can be useful for improved water-retention compared to terracotta and it still looks nice.Would definitely recommend as a starter Kit and feel it is likely to provide years of interest and educational value too.

I've never owned a plant in my life, however, recently I was asked to water a bonsai tree for a work colleague and it instantly made me want to get one for myself once I saw one up close.This kit has everything you may need to start off.That being said, the instructions could be slight better, they only cover the very basic things on starting with each seed, but once there there's nothing about care etc. It's also unclear if I am to use all the seeds for specific species in one pot, or is it 1 seed per pot.Overall for this price you really can't fault this though. I expected to do more research on my own anyway.Oh and I also had no idea some seeds need 8 weeks(!) before they can be planted.

An absolutely fabulous bonsai kit!! Not only did I receive it in perfect condition with everything I need to grow beautiful bonsai trees ( thank you WunderMein) , Grow Buddha included two extra packets of seeds as a free gift, sunflower seeds and Delonix Regia (the fire leaf tree) and they're growing beautifully my Delonix Regia is an absolute beast 😄 thank you so much Grow Buddha 😙
