What Happened ?
I don't know who's bright idea this was but this album is a complete boring disaster from start to finish and it's a double album. If people are interested in the the person "Nostradamus" then go and get a book from the Library and read all about him. You don't go and buy a heavy metal record to learn about him. I have played this CD twice, the first time I was stunned ,the next time I realised that this was indeed one of the worst metal albums ever released. I hear that Rob wants to make a opera out of it and take it around the world. Best of luck with that Rob. One of the biggest turkey's ever ! Avoid!

If this had iron maiden's name on the cover it would be hailed a masterpiece
A fantastic album. Why its slated in the press i will never know? If this had iron maiden tagged to it they would call it a masterpiece, its not like most preist albums true, but a break from the norm equals a fantastic concept album. Buy it , you wont be disappointed. Stand out track for me is Alone.

Different but enjoyable.
Absolutely fantastic. This is definitely an overlooked classic. Cd 1 in my opinion was better than cd2 , however the whole album was a joy to listen to. To me it isn’t an album you can listen to over and over again but you do catch different things with every listen.

A controversial album
Most Judas Priest fans hated this I'm in a minority, I liked it It's kind of a rock opera about Nostradamus life The songs are good I can understand it not being like it's not usual Judas Priest, but if you open your mind and forget prejudices You might like it

Forget all the negative critics Priest fans write in Youtube ...
Forget all the negative critics Priest fans write in Youtube or wherever. This album is a masterpiece. On my top 3 Judas Priest albums. Far more interesting than Defenders of the faith or British Steel. A must-have for all the fans.

Excellent Concept Album Well Worth It
Judas Priest deliver the goods once again. A brilliant concept album from start to finish telling the life of Nostradamus a 16th Century Apothecary who began to have visions of future events. Well worth getting, can't fault it.

Mixed feelings
Yes there are some great sections on this ambitious extravaganza, but overall i thinks it sagsin too many places,a little too stretched out.It starts and ends strongly, mainly thanks to Rob's wondrous vocal range and expression. He's up there with the very best, far more than just a mere singer. Listen to Sinner andSad Wings,as i so often did in the 70's for proof of that.Musically and riff-wise it's very good in parts, and certainly very sophisticated, but intruth it could have been captured better on one cd.I found i just couldn't stay with it,tho i appreciate others will think there isn't a singlewasted moment on either cd.Maybe a few listenings from now i'll think the same...who knows?!

Very Good.
This album is not an ordinary Priest album, some people found that good and some people found that bad. In my opinion this is a very good album. The singing is excellent as usual, some of the riffs are deadly and the orchestra amalgamates with everything. Also, the topic of Nostradamus is always intriguing. Furthermore, the booklet was a nice touch because all the lyrics are in there and the artwork is great. I would recommend this to any Priest and Iron Maiden fan.
