As advertised
I used the Autel MaxiCheck MX900 OBD2 Scanner on my BMW X5 and was impressed by its swift AutoVIN feature, which quickly identified my vehicle and initiated a comprehensive system scan. Good product!

Full function tests. Accurate data list.
I am coming from launch brand products and this is far superior. I am a Honda master tech and I love this scanner. It shows data list items exactly as they appear on the HDS oem scan tool. Refresh rate is very fast, similar to oem scanner. Individual system function tests and initialization are much broader than what is listed as generic tests. This scanner will do all system initializations and even EVAP system testing. Love this scanner and have nothing but good things to say. It is definitely designed to be used as a main scanner for a shop as you can input customer information and shop information and it will store and print that info with a DTC scan if desired. Graphing function is not perfect but works well enough to get the job done, as a honda tech I can easily identify torque converter judder with this graph. Very impressed with this scanner.

Necessary Tool
If you work on modern cars it is necessary to have a scanner. Even better, one that data log and trigger devices in the vehicle to root cause rather than swap parts. The scanner has a great case for adding additional addons, and for protection. The cable is long enough to drive and monitor without it being wrapped around your feet. The scanner itself has a clear, easy to read, and easy to navigate menu. Connected to my network very, and searches the web for codes. The problem that I have is the device reads so many PIDs, and has so many functions available, but it doesn't have any reference to what some of the vehicle options do, and what it will do. They have some FAQ online, but not much detail, and it isn't organized by the system your troubleshooting. Hopefully it all comes in time. For the cost of the device, there isn't anything as robust as this, no regrets. I just hope they grow the knowledge base.

Much better than my old Launch scanner, forget the xtool
The Autel MX900, upgraded from, MX808S, MK808 PRO, MK808BT, MP808, DS808S, more powerfull than basic code reader, is like a superhero scan tool for car enthusiasts. It's got some cool features like AutoAuth, which lets it tackle tricky secure systems in FCA Secure Gateway (SGW) vehicles. It's also got a speed boost thanks to faster hardware, and a bigger battery and screen to keep you going longer and see things clearer. Plus, it plays nice with a ton of different car makes and models, from Hondas to Chevys to BMWs and more. Have tried it on 2014 Ford F250, 2017 Chevrolet Camaro and 2015 Toyota Tacoma. It even speaks the latest car tech languages like CAN FD and DOIP, so it's up to date with modern vehicles. Basically, if you're a car lover, the Autel MX900 is your trusty sidekick, giving you all the powers you need to level up your car game every day.
