Reliable and affordable mount
These are quality mounts for most standard setups. It attaches tightly and doesn't move. It makes an easy mount for lights or lasers without getting in the way.

Shockingly secure; bulkier than allen-wrench picatinny 45; toolless
There's no question the materials, engineering, design, and manufacturing are all excellent. But the point of such an item is speed and flexibility. And I've found that while it's very quick to remove, it takes a little more time and finesse to get it back on properly, and this to the point where I've wondered if I couldn't remove and replace a standard attachment with allen wrenches close to as quickly with a more consistent result every time. I'm not fully decided on this, but the question is in my mind. Of course, one advantage of this device is not having to carry around tools to remove and replace it. One downside is the level you use to open and close it is fairly long--and it should be. It would be far harder to use if it weren't. BUT, there are times when it gets in the way. For example, I tried using this near the back of an AR for a 45 degree red dot and it got too close to my charging handle and interfered with its operation. It wouldn't have been a problem except I had limited space already because I was running a scope on it as well. I wish the level pointed forward instead of backward when clamped. I am surprised by how well is clamps down though, with no apparent motion or wobble at all. That's quite a feat for a design like this. It's a great product and I'm glad I own it. But it's not for every use a standard allen-wrench picatinny is.

Sorry Not for me.
I had to try working on an idea for a offset mount. I don't know if this unit was out of spec or my picatinny rails. It would attach but could not tighten down fully. Several attempts on and off the rails.....Next. Looking at others of this type. I may have gone to cheap on this one. Looking for an offset now that can be tightened down with a screwdriver or nut driver. Great Idea, wrong vehicle.

Kind of expensive, and a bit tricky
At first I didnt' think it worked right, but you have to do some adjustments. And it still doesn't work right. But if you do some more adjustments, then it works right. But the adjustments are so loose, they instantly come lose, so you have to lock tight them. All in all, it's kind of a PITA and a bit expensive. It's also a little heavier than I'd like, and it could have some lightening cuts in it, to shave a bit, if they tried. It's OK, but donno if I'd buy again.

Get to know this brand, they make good stuff.
I have close to 10 products from Monstrum and have never been disappointed. They are a great option for tinkering around with different configurations without paying an arm and leg for the heavily marketed brands and I really have yet to find anything they sell that has not worked as well, if not better, than things from the gun magazines. This is no exception. Fit is perfect, finish is perfect, and it has an adjustment wheel on the screw end (underside). So, unlike some other styles, you just set it in the slot, roll the wheel and keep opening and closing the latch until you get the tension you want. Super easy and super secure. I mounted a light with a real tail cap so it gets mashed hard with every activation and then endures the recoil. No issues, running strong. I would buy again without fear.
