Tacky and the Winter Games: A Winter and Holiday Book for Kids (Tacky the Penguin)

Our 4 year old grandson loves the Tacky series. This is a great one.

This is my 3 year old’s favorite book. He loves Tacky and will spontaneously sing the Winter Games Anthem. This is such an adorable little story. And I love that it has a song with the actual notes in the middle of the book. It was an unexpected and fun opportunity to introduce our 3 and 5 year olds to what sheet music looks like and what it means.

My 5 year old nephew loves these books! They never get old.

Love Tacky

My niece is a teacher in Arkansas. Her 1st grade class is sorely lacking in enjoyable books for afternoon reading. I purchased every 'Tacky' title available on Amazon and sent them down to her. I figured penguins in Arkansas would be a novelty for the kids, and they LOVED it!! I made sure that the Tacky and the Winter Games arrived just before Christmas break!The 1st graders love Tacky and his crazy adventures; he's always faced w a perplexing problem, but seems to make the right (sometimes tough) choice to solve it. Good lessons for children!

My kindergarten children and myself love Tacky! He is so funny and I can appreciate how he just lives his own life.

My five year old grandson loves penguins and has a great sense of humor. These books combine those two things and he loves them! The stories are not just fluffy and silly however. They do have little life lessons to teach. They are great books for kindergartner's and first graders who are learning to read and the illustrations are complex enough to hold a child's attention.

This is the third year I'm using books about Tacky the Penguin with the students I tutor. The stories are delightful and the illustrations are very appealing. In fact, I now have four other Tacky books. That it's fine to be an individual is a valuable lesson to teach youngsters.

Tacky is at his best. I especially love the details like the frozen fish skiing competition. It encourages kids to use their imagination and most importantly, it encourages them to just be themselves.

I have been most delighted with ALL OF THE BOOKS ABOUT TACKY. My grandchildren also ennjoy them equally as much. As for the other books I have bought, they too fall into the category of ENJOYMENT. Thank you so much

I had to organize a project for Full - Day Kindergarten on the theme of Olympics. This book was a great addition, for a read aloud or for children to look through on their own. I would definitely recommend!
