The fact that the screwdriver blades are reversible make these electrical test screwdrivers a "cut above" the others that I have owned. Also the fact that they came as a pair make it easy to keep one in the cupboard with the consumer unit and the other in the garage. first rate.

If others have found these suitable for testing, all that I can suggest is that they were fortunate to have been sent specimens that were properly made. On the other hand they may be fake reviews. Sadly the screwdrivers sent to me are only useful for tightening or untightening screws. While one blade came out of the handle to change over from the slotted to the cross end blade, at first the other one did not budge, and I had to use pliers to grip and pull it out. It now comes out without any problems. From the point of view of being single units that can be adjusted for the two different screws these are a very good idea.On opening them by unscrewing the tops, which was not easy and I needed my pliars to undo them at first, while the actual neon components themselves may be alright, the metal caps on the glass tubes holding these were loose, so, unless I am mistaken, there is no chance of the neons lighting, as the caps to the glass tubes are loose and the wires to the components are merely wrapped over the side and barely held in place by the metal caps. Using a circuit tester, while I got a circuit in the screwdriver blades as well as the glass capsules, with the caps firmly held on, likewise in the button at the top of the screwdriver, try as I might, when everything was screwed back together, for some reason, possibly the loose caps, I could not get a positive result.I suspect that someone who could be bothered to try to solder the neon components onto the metal caps on the ends of the glass tubes, might that way, be able to get the testing to work. But if the components are dud anyway, it would be a complete waste of time. Also why should a customer have to do this ? We should have the assurance that an item we have bought if safe and fit or purpose straight away upon opening the package in the first place. Wherever in China these screwdrivers are made, there must be very poor, if any quality control. So unless you just want these for their uses as one piece cross or flat blade screwdrivers, I urge you to save your money. I am sorry to to say that I have already needed to send similar items back for refunds and unless I decide to keep these just for their adaptability, these will be going back as well. I also think that Amazon should really test these types of items themselves first and just not put them on sale if they don't work. Likewise withdraw them from sale in the event that numbers get returned as not working, which I hope they do with these.

As an electrician, I get through loads of these terminal drivers, they tend to get used for all sorts of things they aren't supposed to do.This one is one of the best I've used, sturdy and with the interchangeable ends very useful.Great buy for the money.
