Better temps, easy to apply! Legit stuff
Replaced the Liquid Metal on my asus zephyrus g14 with this. So far my gpu and cpu temps with gaming and high load are down significantly and everything runs great. Was shocked how poorly the original Liquid Metal was applied but the pad was easy to cut and stick on to get perfect coverage. Hoping it performs well for a long time!

This stuff is next-level performance!
This stuff is amazing! The benefits of liquid metal thermal compound without the risks of shorting out your motherboard if the liquid metal decides to go exploring.I have a Dell Precision 5560 laptop with an i9-11950H CPU. Needless to say, that thing runs hot. I had previously been hitting 100C on at least one core almost constantly, and this was after replacing the factory thermal paste with some better stuff. After I put the new thermal pads on, the temperatures didn't seem to change at first but after a little while I'm now seeing an average of 60-70C where it was almost always at least 90C previously. It will not work right away! It takes some time for the thermal pad to melt when it heats up, so running the CPU hot and then letting it cool down seemed to do the trick for me. It took about a day before I noticed the temps lowering significantly.I have a lot of material leftover for my other machines as well, this stuff is an amazing value especially for the price.Make sure to put the thermal pad in the fridge (NOT the freezer) for a few hours before you plan to apply it, as this will make it stiffen up more and make it easier to work with. The protective film was a tad difficult to remove, but the mini sticky tape things that came with the install kit helped quite a bit.I had read online that this product does not work as well when used on a CPU/GPU with an IHS (integrated heat spreader), it is designed to be applied between the bare die and the heatsink, so keep that in mind. Most laptops already have bare die processors, and most desktops have an IHS.All in all, highly recommend!

Saved an RTX 4080 with pumped out factory paste
My RTX 4080 TUF OC went from 80 degrees on an undervolt to 60 degrees with an overclock. Hotspot is down from mid 90s to 70. 290 to 330 watts and 20 degrees less under max load. Thermal paste from the factory was cooked. Is this legit Honeywell PTM? The world may never know. Does it work better than thermal paste? Hell yes. It can be a pain to install so make sure you put it in the fridge for a while before installing, it'll make peeling the plastic off easier. A good set of tweezers and a steady hand goes a long way!

No instructions, so make sure to look them up on your own first.
I didn't look up instructions and there were none in the box that I received. I didn't know what the brush was for or the extra sticky things. Just really had no clue. Apparently, you put these in the freezer to cool off and get really stiff for several minutes. This allows you to more easily peel the protective layers off. I found it easier to take measurements, use a sharp blade (like exacto) to cut it to size. Then using the exacto to separate the plastic. My Asus Strix Scar 15 had liquid metal for the 12900H CPU, but after removing the heatsink, I could tell that the liquid metal had not covered the CPU well at all. It was a pain to get up, too. After this (and using some thermal putty on the other components), I noticed my temps having dropped by nearly 30c! I couldn't believe it. All this time. My GPU's temps were still fine. My score in 3D mark was over 1k higher for the CPU test. I definitely had been throttling.Don't know why I waited so long. I was just afraid of taking this thing apart. I used to work in IT, but those were all Inspirons that were honestly built like tanks half the time (and also not my personal investments). Either way, really love the performance increase. It has been VERY noticeable.

Why did I wait so long to get some of this stuff?
I purchased this kit after following Salem Techsperts youtube videos. My 7600x always ran a bit warmer than I thought was necessary given the 3-fan clc that I was using. Using a coupon code, it was very affordable, and came with everything needed to make the installation process easy. The little green sticky tabs are meant to be used to help peel off the film from each side of the PTM. I already see a 15c difference in thermals. It also seems like shoddy thermal paste was the root cause of a few passive issues regarding slow boot times and less-than-ideal performance. The finger covers, screwdriver, brush, spreader, and alcohol wipes were not necessary, but those will go towards other projects. The green pull-tabs absolutely make installation easier, though. I still have enough material for at least 3 more CPUs, and this kit will remain a staple of my electronics repair kit for the near future.

Hard to work with and apply, but the performance seems worth it.
This stuff is the bomb in my laptop! I had some other brand "arctic silver 5" that I had on my rtx3060. Resting GPU temp was 41C before application of the PTM and under load got up to about 76-80 consistently. After, the resting GPU temp only dropped 1C to 40C, but the heavy load temp dropped to around 64-68C consistently. The CPU temps dropped about 10-15C under load, again very consistently. I'm very happy with the performance. Now, the nature of this stuff is that it is very hard to work with. I lost a good size chunk as it fell apart trying to get that *#*(&$ plastic backing off it. I ended up freezing the big chunk I had left, putting the little tape pieces on either side of the backing and working it apart before trying to cut it to size. It seemed to make it easier to get it apart in one solid piece to put on the chips. I ended up getting it on pretty well with some good sized overlap (cut it bigger than you need or you'll be cursing). I only ended up with a little left over, maybe one more application because I tore up quite a bit the first go around. It takes a steady hand and a lot of patience to apply this, but it sure seems worth it now.
