Hunter Valve Solenoid
I have found that there are two components of the Hunter control valves that will fix 80% of the cases of malfunction: either the solenoid or the diaphragm. Doing this is much easier than replacing the entire valve which rarely is needed. Sometimes, however, debris in the valve portals can cause problems, but spending $15 on one of these and unscrewing the old and screwing in the new is very simple. Obviously, you need to check that you are getting 25+ Volts AC or else the problem is with the controller.
