Salsa Verde seems to be hard to find in the UK. This is the real thing from Mexico and one of the cheaper options.

It's great!
I was looking for an "authentic" Mexican salsa verde, and I love this one! Not too spicy but has a lot of flavour. And the tin is small so once opened, one can finish it quickly. I will definitely buy again.

I ordered this as an ingredient in slow cooker lime and chilli chicken - very different from Italian Salsa Verde I'm used to, this is made from tomatilloes and adds a delicious fresh but sour umami type note to this particular dish. Bit pricy but it's a 2kgs recipe so goes a long way.
