Roughneck ROU32025 Plasterboard Carrier

Lightweight, seems very robust. Much easier to use than the 'gripper' style of panel lifters - I have one of those but couldn't lift a sheet of 18mm MDF as the surface is too slippery for the gripper to, er, grip. No issue with this as obviously it sits underneath the panel. Better ergonomically too, as you're lifting with your legs and a straight arm, as opposed to a bent arm with the gripper which puts a lot more strain on elbow and shoulder. Wish I'd bought this one first and saved some money. Recommended.

Works very well, able to control the board and lift with ease. Saves having bruised fingers.

It does its job admirably well, making the carrying of awkward-to-hold large ply & plasterboard panels a lot easier, without causing damage to the underside or surface. And it's cheap & light. But it's a bit short when you have to reach down to pick up said panel, and the carrying process is still a bit tricky (at least with the very heavy 8 x 4 acoustic plasterboards I recently moved).

Makes carrying sheets solo much easier

Make unwieldy sheets of wood easy to lift and more around. Strong and solid with no moving parts (unlike those pinch versions that lift the top of the sheet instead).

Ease of use, ideal for working on your own with plasterboard.

Very useful tool

When I needed to swap over some damaged fence panels I realised to do it on my own I needed a panel carrier. I couldn't find out via the description what thickness of panel this would carry as it all seemed geared towards plasterboard rather than fence panels and the reviews all seemed to be about plasterboard carrying.In the end I ordered one and chanced it and I could then find out what the maximum width of panel it would carry would be. The measurement of the trough that the item you are carrying in is designed to sit in is 35mm. Oops. My fence panels are 40mm. I found it doesn't matter at all - so even though the fence panels were wider than the gap, they still sat securely on the top of the upstand and I carried 12 panels up and down the garden with ease and without a single slip.The carrier itself is so light it is amazing and without this tool I literally could not have done this on my own. It is only £11.99 but saved me having to pay someone else to help. I can't believe I've gone all these years without one. Superb.
