I was skeptical at first on rather they would work when adding two daisy chained units five cameras off a single cat6 run but works flawlessly without any packet loss. Great for areas without an outlet to power a switch.

Works amazing had to add 4 camera at a post about 200ft away, had one of CAT-6 in the pipe and added a POE + injector just to make sure there is enough power going to the switch. A job that would of taken me about 2 days I was able to complete it in one.

Just what i needed, helped me add a second POE device to my garage without having to run a whole separate ethernet cable.

Bottom line: this little switch works to split/forward PoE to several devices. It's small, plug-and-play, and cheap. Don't expect this thing to maintain very high throughputs, though. On my gigabit internet service, I could push 500-600 Mbps to a single device. That's plenty for most use cases, but definitely not as fast as some other (much much more expensive) options. If you just need a cheap way to split out PoE to several devices, this little guy will work perfectly.

*EDIT*They seem to have read my previous review, as this device is now offered with up to 5 ports at 1000 MBPS speed. I had resorted to daisy chaining two of the 100 MBPS 4 port devices, and I replaced them with a single 5 port 1000 MBPS device. This was mostly just to save space, as the daisy chained devices were running four POE cameras between them just fine. One 5 port 1000 MBPS device and four POE cameras are combining to use 12 watts of power from the single switch port that is supplying POE to all of them.*ORIGINAL*I purchased this to replace an unmanaged POE switch to which I had three POE cameras connected. This is powered by POE output from my primary switch, which is about 150 feet away. This device and the three cameras combine to use about 10w of POE, well below what the primary switch is capable of. This device provides plenty of power for all three cameras, and provides plenty of bandwidth for them at 100 MBPS (which I was a little concerned about at first, as I would have preferred 1 GBPS uplink to be safe). And it takes up less than half the space the old switch did, it does not need a separate power source (being POE powered), and it costs less than half what the previous switch originally cost me. Other than losing room for expansion (which I could easily regain by daisy chaining another of these), this has turned out to be a significantly better option for me than a second standard POE switch. If you have a POE switch and want to split a single cable run off of it into three separate runs complete with POE, this is a device built to do that for you.

These little things are amazing for what they cost. One run from my POE switch, easily add a camera when I didn't think to run extra feeds of wire.
