I fully anticipate having purchase another one of these at some point. It works for now, no more silverware falling thru. There isn't a handle on it, oem. So I adapted the handle from my old one & got it to work fine.

This basket is larger and more solid than I expected. I have a compact dishwasher, and the basket takes up more space than the old basket. In fact, I am losing two slots meant for dishes. It also fits so snugly that I have decided to leave it in place. (My old basket fit loosely and had a handle, so I could lift it in and out.) This basket was not made for my washer.IMPORTANT: If your old basket is smaller than this, which it probably is, you'll have to stick this basket over some tines in your bottom rack. If the tines do not line up with the holes in the basket, you will have to cut some plastic pieces out of your new basket to make it fit.When I pulled the basket out of the box, the first thing I noticed was that the solid partitions on the inside can't be removed. I was concerned that they might prevent the circulation of water, but they didn't. I have done one wash with the new basket loaded with a large amount of flatware, and the flatware came out cleaner than it usually does in the old basket, so I am very pleased. I use a lot of utensils, and it looks like this basket is just the right thing to get them clean.This item is made of plastic, which means it will eventually fatigue and break apart. But the plastic is thicker than my old basket, so I expect it to last longer.As I said, I have done only one wash. If my opinion of the basket changes, I will revise this review.

Found missing silverware basket in GE dishwasher in a new house. Folded down one of the rows of “spines” on the lower part and this thing fit like it was made for the GE. Is sturdy and hold a lot of silverware. Highly recommended especially for the price.

I needed to replace the basket for my classic GE dishwasher and this was the best solution out there.

Purchased one of these about a year ago. The bottom started cracking out but for the price I don’t mind replacing once a yr

I needed more of a Basket for lots of silverware basket good size. Very Satisfy good Choice.

The biggest fault I find with this basket is the bottom is easily cut by knives and then, the knives and the tines on the forks slip between the mesh. The person loading the basket sometimes forgets to turn the blades of knives up. When the sharp knives cuts the bottom of the basket the silverware falls into the dishwasher. When the blades are turned up, a person unloading the dishwasher can get a nasty cut on the hand. I think the basket should be made of more durable material. I desire goods made in the USA even if it cost a little more but last a lot longer. I have had several dishwashers and the baskets in the early models last as long as the dishwasher but that is not true with later dishwasher. This new basket is the third one for this dishwasher.

Smaller than the factory one but it does the job.
