New iPad 9.7 2018/2017 Case, Clayco Clear Back Protector Lightweight Slim Fit for iPad 9.7 Case Compatible with Offical Apple Smart Covers and Keyboard (Frost)

Would have been five stars if not for scratching. I love the matte finish this gives the back of my iPad, and my smart cover fits perfectly in coordination with this case. After using this case for only a month, I started to notice places where the matte finish was scratched and missing. Fortunately, it only left behind a shiny spot and not real scratches in the plastic, but it makes the case look old and cheap when it is still relatively new. I won't look right until all of the matte coating comes off revealing a completely shiny case. I would recommend this case for the fit, but know that it may not stay all matte for long.As far as protection, the case seems to do it's job. The main problem is that this case fits flush with the edge of the iPad to allow the smart cover to lay flat on top. When I purchased the smart cover and this case, I didn't take into account the liability this leaves from drops and bumps. I dropped my iPad once and it just happened to land in a way that created a minor dent in the top of the aluminum edge of the iPad, where the power button is located. This spot would have been covered if the case wrapped around the edge or didn't leave an open gap between the button and the end of the screen.

So I recently took advantage of trading in my old iPad mini 2 and finally upgraded for the new iPad (2018, Model A1893). I was saddened they discontinued the Smart Case. The Smart Case covered the back and front with magnetic seal. Today you will only find the Smart Cover now. I love the cases either way because they turn the iPad off when you cover it. It says 2017 but, don't let that fool you. This will work with the new 2018 iPad. They are the same in outlook design of length and width. This looks amazing with my gray Smart Cover and is really smooth to the touch. There is no inner lining the way the cover has. That is okay with me since this is just to prevent scratches and is mainly at home. As for longevity we will see but, for the price I paid I'll buy it again if need be. I purchased the Space Gray and Gray covers so the color of my iPad could match my cases.

This case looks and feels so much more expensive than it is. It is plastic, but very soft and pleasant to the touch. Just insert the IPad with the Smart Cover on, and it works like a charm. Protects the back while the cover protects the front. They actually like they were both from the same manufacturer. It's easy to take off too, if you're like me and like to switch cases sometimes. Just remove the Smart Cover first and then take the case off the back of the IPad. It's a great case, at a bargain price! It will protect your IPad from falls, scratches and dings, while also looking professional and sleek with the Smart Cover.

This back case works perfectly with the smart cover and definitely protects the back of the ipad. The only problem is that it’s started peeling. So the frosted layer is coming off, starting at the corners. It’s a little sad because they do tout this product as having a scratch resistent back but how does that come into play if the frosted layer is peeling off.Anyway, it’s only cosmetic so I will still keeping this case. I do like the option of having it and not having it and not having to choose between having a smart cover or not.

The case does protect your iPad don't get me wrong. However, within a few months of use, the case started to crack around the edges making it difficult to hold. The case is not completely clear, it is a little bit cloudy. With time, the cloudy film peels off, leaving areas that are cloudy and areas that are clear with scratches in between.

I am SO incredibly satisfied with this purchase. My old MacBook is dying so I purchased the 9.7” iPad Model A1893 (6th Gen?). I debated long after my purchase about what type of cover to get. A quick trip to the Apple store and I learned that Apple never manufactured a cover for this model with a back. I didn’t want the back to get scratched and I wanted to protect it overall so I started reading reviews on for this product. I am happy to say that it is IMO a 5 ⭐️ Product. Thank you Clayco.

The case is covered with a soft rubberized coating and looks great when you first get it. Although the frosted coating looks great, it can easily scratch off revealing the translucent material the case is made of. The fit is great and compatible to use with Apple's smart cover. The edges of the case sit flushed with the screen's surface so it doesn't raise the iPad when faced down on a table or surface.

Very good product. Fit my iPad perfectly, as well perfect cut outs for Smart Cover! very good packaging, as in if you’re giving it for a gift it’s premium looking. You know, when something works and is good, all you can say is “it’s good and it works perfectly!” I would definitely buy from this vendor again when it comes time for more cases. Well pleased & just what I wanted to fit with my Apple Smart Cover!

It's a pretty good, sturdy case. Works well with the smart cover, although the cover doesn't stick to the back of the iPad as plastic is fairly thick. Pretty much the only gripe I have with it is that the matte layer has started peeling off at the edges over time (~1 year), so it is a bit unsightly; however it has no cracks and the tablet is protected, so it still does its job perfectly.

B. der Bluetooth-Tastatur von Anker (Ultra-thin keyboard Cover for iPad Air / Air 2) klappt soweit gut.Bezüglich der Qualität des Backcovers, stimmt der erste Eindruck. Die milchglasartige Oberfläche wirkt hochwertig. Ich hoffe, dass das sich die Oberläche langfristig nicht wie teilweise bemängelt ablöst.Einen kleinen Mangel gibt es jedoch schon anzumerken: die Aussparung für das Smart Cover ist leider etwas zu klein geraten. Hierdurch liegt das Smart Cover, wenn es als Ständer nach Hinten gefaltet ist, nicht mehr ganz am iPad an und die Haftwirkung ist geringfügig verringert. Vielleicht kann das bei einer neuen Version geändert werden; dann gibt es fünf Sterne.

Passt perfekt für den iPad 6. Generation. Passgenau mit SmartCover von Apple. Super Habtik, auch passend zum SmatCover. Dazu kommt: wenn man den 3,5 Kopfhörerstecker mit professionelleren Kabeln anschließt, muss man die Hülle nicht abnehmen. DAS IST LANGE NICHT SELBSTVERSTÄNDLICH, auch wenn man das vermuten würde.

Das Cover passt perfekt, die Haptik ist gut. Allerdings ist nach gut 9 Monaten die Ecke wo sich die Kamera befindet gebrochen. Somit ist die Haltbarkeit begrenzt. Schade.. ich war eigentlich sehr zufrieden mit der Hülle. Probiere es jetzt mal mit einer Silikonhülle
