Q: Does it come with pre-made panel templates or can you create your own?

This particular one that I bought is blank. There are ones with the borders drawn in already with a blue print with guidelines for drawing panels. Usually they are labeled.

Q: is it good for water colors? and is pure white paper?

No, this paper disintegrates with water. Watercolor paper is for watercolor. Paper with out sizing in it ( like this paper ) is no good with water. Mixed media paper that is sized like the Strathmore 500 series mixed media paper....and watercolor paper are good for watercolor. WATERCOLOR PAPER = GOOD FOR WATERCOLOR.... not watercolor paper = no good for watercolor

Q: How is this paper for calligraphy nibs and dip ink? This brand of drawing paper bled when I did calligraphy.

I use this paper for dip pen calligraphy, using watered-down Sumi ink. The paper is thick, so no bleeding through at all.

Q: Can you see through when placed on top of a computer screen in a dark environment? I need to be able to see through the paper to get an outline.

Yes! I was surprised because it’s a heavyweight paper but I tested it in a dark room by placing a piece over my iPhone and I could see the image behind it very well. Hope this helps.
