Having just redecorated my hallway, i was hesitant to start hammering nails in to it for my canvases that used to line the wall. Therefore i started looking for alternatives and came across these. I read multiple reviews as i really wanted to understand if they were just a gimmick of if they worked well. I am happy to say that i would definitely recommend them - i have hung a very light weight framed posted of around 100g, 15 small square canvases (roughly 300g), a glass frame of 600g and a large glass frame over a kilogram (citing weights as some people have said they dont work for heavier items and i dont believe this to be true, if you are using them correctly). For each of the light weight items i just used one hook and they are all holding well (for the lightest one i just used to adhesive strips and no hook and it is holding perfectly). For the heavier items i used two hooks just to be safe as they are glass framed and high up on the ceiling so i wanted stability and reassurance. As well as hanging, i have also had to remove about 5 strips, due to poor measuring! and so i can confidently say that they do work as they claim in that they are easy to remove IF you follow the instructions properly. (To note, all the ones i removed were on wallpaper surface). I was very nervous about removing it as it was on my newly decorated wall, however i followed the instructions fully and if removed carefully (pulling down slowly but firmly in a downwards motion and NOT diagonal or horizontal) they do come off very easily (if you put your eye to the wall you can see the adhesive slowly removing from the wallpaper so you can see how much you have to pull, which is useful as it is a long way down to pull! The only thing that i will note is that when it gets to the top of the adhesive, the bit which has been on the longest and is last to come off, i did notice very small colour removal from my wallpaper for the top most line (so very small) and this was on each of the 5 hooks i removed, so i imagine this will be the case for all. Luckily this did not affect us as we have grey wallpaper with white flecks and so it blended in, but note that this will happen and i imagine it will be the same on plaster. Otherwise, i completely recommend. Always check the weight advice on the pack (i.e 1kg per hook) and note that in a pack you get 2 hooks and 3 adhesive strips, so worth ordering several hooks and the spare pack of strips!

Used on painted wallpaper to hang a clock. I didn’t expect it to work so tested over night with an item of similar weight to make sure before hanging the clock. The hook works really well and the clock remains secure on the wall. Very pleased.
