I have the HARDEST time getting my skittish dog to cooperate at a groomer's. He was starting to like a lion(with a VERY fluffy butt)! But with the thinning shears from this kit, I was able to trim him myself without much hassle! No loud clipper noises to scare him, no stranger trying to approach him with sharp objects, no problem! And very little effort! The thinning shears keep the hair even and not choppy at all, all I had to do was shape!To be honest, I only bought this kit because, even as a 3-piece, it was less expensive than the thinning shears by themselves. But then I got the kit and decided to try out the rounded-tip scissors on my dog's Grinch-like toe hair, and they made it WAY easier to clip that back without clippung his skin by accident and without using electric clippers, which as I mentioned before, are loud and scare him.AND, the company emails you to make sure you got everything promptly and everything works properly! Completely noninvasive, just a couple emails to check in.Overall, these are worth way more to me than the ~$12 I spent on them. Easy and perfect. Thanks so much!

Very nice set for the price. For as much as I groom my little dog they will be just fine. The scissors are sharp and cut easily, I wish the rounded ends were curved where the blades meet, they still have a bit of a point under the rounded tip. But compared to scissors without a rounded end, these are much safer for your pet. I'm glad I bought them.

Work great--nice and sharp. The round safety tips are a "must" for trimming dog fur/hair. I bought another pair on Amazon, but these are much sharper and make the job quicker, easier, and more precise!

I have a 17lbs 10 month old poodle mix puppy and I have always cut his hair with scissors. These scissors worked perfectly. I'm very pleased with my purchase and the price for the item. One (1) rounded tip scissor can cost $12 at a big box store, so I'm please with my purchase.

Not so great. If you have experienced cutting hair with dull scissors, that's what happens if you don't cut the fur in the right spot on the scissors. Never had this problem with my current grooming scissors (another brand). Only bought an extra pair so I could keep upstairs. Forget about using the thinning shears, just pulled my dogs hair. Already ripped apart the box, tossed the plastic packaging and I'm too lazy to return so will keep them and just make sure to cut the fur with the very tip of the scissors.

I purchased these with a stand for dog grooming. My husband used them and said they were so dull. I just used them and they do cut. We are not licensed groomers, and didn't know how to use them. They do cut and are nice to use. I should have used them before saying they didn't work. So sorry. They do work just right.

They seemed great when I started trimming my little dog, but by the end of the first trim (I only trim the face, paws, and belly) they were starting to get dull. I struggled through a second trim because they barely cut. Now, they are useless. And, they keep coming unscrewed, which would be a minor annoyance if they didn't dull in 10 minutes. A waste of money.

Great sharp scissors for the price. A wonderful kit. I am not a dog groomer by any stretch of the imagination but I needed something to occasionally cut back fur on my Golden Retrievers. These feel a little flimsy and are small for my large hands but they are very sharp and do a great job. For the price I am not going to mark them down any stars.
