Very unusual feeling at first, but definitely gives a good stretch and forces your head to sit straight (which felt great!)Added points for how attractive I look in it!

I really wanted to like this product. My neck was in such severe pain I was desperate for a brace or support of some kind. There were so many different types on Amazon so I selected the one with the most promising reviews, but I quickly learnt that that was my mistake. The item came with a note offering a free item upon providing a 5-star review *light bulb moment*. For the moral sake of my fellow Amazon buyers, this product simply does not warrant my continual contribution to the skewed reviews.The biggest thing is that it really stinks (and I generally have a weak and very tolerant sense of smell). With most items I receive I expect to arrive with some sort of factory-manufactured stink. But there was something about this smell - it was very chemically disturbing and made me suspiciously nauseous too quickly. I suppose it doesn't help that it's the kind of item you wear very close to your face/nose (which would make this consideration particularly important). I tried to let it air out but the smell seems to be ingrained and lingered even after several days - bad enough that I would rather not wear it.That being said, let's assume I got a lemon (though they prob all have a similar smell to different degrees). In terms of support, I can't say it does nothing. But it was just okay and didn't live up to the high expectations generated by its almost-perfect track record in reviews nor justify the price. It's very uncomfortable. It felt and looked way more awkward than it functioned. The build quality is mediocre. There's a tiny ball inside the tube that blocks the airway, which you manually move in and out of the tube - that felt kind of ghetto, though I admit effectively so.There are some positives, believe it or not. Like I said, it does offer some support and maybe it would provide some long-term (or short-term) relief if only I were able to tolerate the smell long enough to wear it for an extended period of time. So I admit I can't truly evaluate its effectiveness. The pumping mechanism is kind of cool (my 3 year old definitely enjoyed it) and allows you to adjust how much air to put in, or fold it up for portability/travel.

I was run over by a truck a few years ago at a cross walk and it's been a hell of a healing journey ever since. My neck pain has been the hardest to tackle, nothing helps. No pain meds touch it, I've tried RMT, acupuncture, physio, etc etc Until my chiropractor recommended getting a traction device like this. Upon my first time using it, I felt IMMEDIATE relief. I kept it on for about 15 mins and I felt great the rest of the night! It recommends using it a couple times a day and I can't wait to see if this helps long term. I'm very excited! There's nothing like a moment of relief to reiterate just how much pain I was in that I've learned to live with. Best $30 bucks I've spent all year.

i'm one of those people who rarely write reviews, but in this instance I would feel stingy to hold back any amount of praise for this neck brace. I have had serious cervical vertebral issues for years - disc bulges and herniations that have given me untold neurological pain, fatigue, insomnia, postural tension and so on. I do yoga religiously to keep me mobile and as limber as possible, plus eat 100% organic and do a HUGE long list of things to keep me going. I see my chiropractic doctor once a week/fortnight and will stop at nothing to reduce my symptoms that stem from dental malocclusion (root cause of most spinal problems.The traction that this neck brace gives goes a long way to mechanically restore space between the cervical vertebrae, which in turn relieves the muscles and nerves. I felt the benefits of disc decompression within a few short minutes of wearing this beautiful device. It's low impact, low burden, low cost, comfortable to wear and will give you exactly the right support you need in order to relax and retrain your muscles.I feel a whole lot happier since my physical tension and pain has vastly reduced. My yoga sessions are a whole lot easier and more pleasurable, i feel more energetic, my posture looks near perfect, all sections of my spine meet the floor comfortably when lying flat on the floor, the depth of my breathing is imporved. I could go on and on about why this brace has been such a great health decision.I'm wear it longer than 15 minutes p/day because at this stage (it's been about 5 days), i still feel as though it's delivering important structural corrections that are bedding down in the rest of my system. It's making me far more aware about my posture in general (I thought i was, but this is increasing my awareness vastly). I'm probably wearing it 2 hours a day. I don't care what people think when i'm out and about. It's a beautiful velvety material that doesn't stink of chemicals, very soft and wearable.!00% and 5 stars to whoever came up with this genius design. It will save me so much money on seeing my chiropractor and i really don't think i need that MRI scan now to investigate herniated discs. C7 was feeling like a golf ball, but it settled down and feels almost normal. I cannot believe what a difference the brace has made.I'm a member of lots of FB groups for people with herniated discs. People are in SO much pain and discomfort. I'm going to be recommending people to buy this wonderful device from now on.Anyone who has back pain (any region of the spine) would do well with one of these. Great brithday or Christmas pressie. Definite thumbs up from me :-)

This is my second time ordering this brace. I left my first one in the hotel last summer so had to order another.If you're looking for something that's able to stretch your neck and relieve the pain in the neck and head this is it!I use it twice per day 15 min each time and in laying position.Definitely recommend the product. Cheap and quick way to relieve pain and correct my neck.
