Less than a year in service...issues - leaks, sensors, flow issue, doesn't heat...list goes on and on....

Great heater
This heater is perfect for our 16'x32' in ground pool and we were able to install it ourselves. Sorry Litehouse. Just be aware it comes wired for 220v and has to be switched if you run 110v.

Too many issue!
The media could not be loaded. About a month into a brand new install this heater started making a horrible screeching sound upon startup. I contacted both my pool company and Jandy directly. Through the pool company the Jandy rep came to the house and reviewed the installation. (We use a pool maintenance company) but Jandy took issue with the water, thr gas lines, the exhaust and zero responsibility. This was a profoessional install and inside my basement utilities room. I had each sub contractor come back to double check their work - all of which was to code and spec. It turns out the inside pipes had scale buildup so when they heated the water wasn’t moving fast enough and it was boiling in the pipe - causing the screeching noise. Jandy said it’s my issue but they would sell me a new unit at cost. It had been operating for less than a month and probably had four hours of heat on it. I was not going to accept that response.The solution came from the pool maintenance team (awesome job) more than a month later , who had a Jandy contact who said there can be a bonding issue where small amounts of electricity build up in the pipes causing the salt to build up (likely a more technical term). The team followed their instructions and since then the unit is working. I never heard back from Jandy, I do not know if the scale is completely gone or cleared up. But they obviously knew about this issue but not at the service level since they had told me to buy a new one.The heater does do a good job of heating once it works assuming you don’t have this issue. Very disappointed in the service since I had heard good things.Ultimately this unit is too finicky - I would do your homework with a professional that has vendor options before buying.

UPDATED REVIEW
So, to update this from 'junk' status. After some technical and mechanical tweaks, the unit worked fine for the rest of the season last year, and we were able to keep our pool open until October. So far this year, it has fired up with no issues. Jandy Customer Service called me directly to follow up to make sure it was operating ok. The only minor complaint still, and I passed this along to the customer service rep Eric, who provided excellent customer service was the yellow buttons. Sometimes you have to press hard, other times they are overly sensitive so that is the only real known issue. They are extremely interested in how it operates this year and I feel confident that if something does go wrong, they will stick to their word and provide the assistance needed. I will say it cranks out the warm water for sure. I'm glad Jandy backed up their product- once the bugs were worked out (it was a brand new updated model). Its working well so far.

Got 2 seasons out of it then it STB
We did not buy this from Amazon but it is the heater we have and I want to leave an honest review. We had this heater installed in late 2016. Used it 2017 and 2018 seasons and then when we started it up in 2019 it wouldn't work. It took the company 1-1/2 months to fix it, trying one thing after another. Eventually they had to replace the entire guts and all parts related to the ignition. It was still under warranty so that was a good thing, Fast forward to 2020 and it would not ignite, again. We called the pool company and Jandy and they told us that the replacement parts they put on in 2019 only had a 90 day warranty so we are SOL. We had our electrician look at it and he identified the problem as the ignition module. We ordered it from a pool supply company and he put it on. It worked perfectly for about 3 days. It is not working again and now there is water pouring out of somewhere in the housing. Attempts to get help from Jandy and/or their representatives have gone unanswered. Definitely would NOT recommend this brand to anyone.
