Mitra 3D Mic Pro

i started using the 3d mic a couple months ago and was psyched from day 1. It creates extremely professional quality sound that moves from left to right, without spending any time messing with the audio tracks. I use it mostly when i want to capture someone running through the scene, or a car driving by. Basically any movement that happens on screen can be captured via the 3D mic, which adds a little bit extra to the final product. It's great if you're a small production company with minimal employees, and would like to get that extra edge.My only complaint is that it is a bit larger than similarly priced shotgun mics, and sometimes makes it difficult to pack, but when you already have tons of video/audio equipment, it really isn't that big of deal.

If you want a quick and simple way to get spectacular stereo sound, then this is your mic. This is a great addition to anyone starting out in film and who cannot afford a sound recording crew. Just set this mic up on a stand or on your mount, and you'll get spectacular stereo sound for your footage. I am just starting out as a filmmaker and this mic has made my job easier in a lot of ways.Note: This is NOT the best mic for recording dialogue in a building (or for some scenes in the city), as the recording ability is so good it pics up nearly everything around you. I used this mic for a dialogue scene at a park and the birds and nearby sounds gave the conversation amazing depth. You really notice a difference when you are editing and use the headphones. The channel difference is astounding. I took this mic in to a local stereo shop in San Diego and showed it to the owner. We recorded some dialogue and he -- being in the stereo business since the 70s -- was blown away. The depth and range are just fantastic. On the set for my latest project (doing documentary style work for an outdoor community garden network), I had the boom operator listen back to what she recorded and she actually thought someone was right behind her 2 feet away (it was the recording). She turned to start talking to that person. It's that good.

I am a DSLR shooter.And as we all know the DSLRs are not known for good sound. As to have a great image its only half of the way,you also have to create good quality sound for your projects to stand out.Mitra 3D is the mic i've been looking for a while.Its designed to capture sound as close as the reality,i mean the way we normally hear.Its a solid build mic,i had carried this mic all over Europe,Canada and USA,and i got to say that it holds very well.Sound quality is really good,especially after you equalize it, following mitra's graphic chart,also using good quality headphones.Its a good mic to pick up any environment sound (nature ,street,music,etc)I paired this mic with a Zoom H4n recorder,super easy to use,turn it on,adjust the levels and you're ready to go! I'm really impressed with this mic,i use it a lot.Last year i filmed a lot of concerts so i used it to capture live sound with the crowd cheers. Its easy to mount it on the camera with a shoe mount (if you shoot on DSLR)Costumer service is very good.Every time i emailed them with a question ,they always fast reply.Also they have a few tutorials on youtube,which are great .I recommend this mic for any indie film maker who wants to capture good quality sound!

I'm currently using the Mitra 3D microphone for our short film. The goal was to produce a film for the web and offering the audience a 3D enhanced audio experience. After contacting Mitra, we began collaborating on the process in order to produce the exact 3D sounds needed for this film.I'm currently in post production and the audio from the 3D Mitra is incredible. I'm very satisfied with the product and highly recommend it to anyone that's interested in enhancing their production.

I was looking to improve the quality of audio for my application, corporate and creative videography. I had viewed a couple of positive reviews by industry professionals whom I greatly respect. So I ordered and have been using for the past month. I am very impressed with the quality and ease of use. To add this level of pro audio with little effort is exactly what I had hoped.Another feature worth mentioning is the incredible technical support. Mitra's support team has been prompt and thorough even answering my questions on the weekend. Not sure this is standard policy but I sure appreciated the help while I was using the mic.I highly recommend the Mitra 3D Mic Pro. A+ product. A+ support and A+ company.

I'm currently testing out this unit for our film which uses 3D audio. At the moment, I'm doing studio recordings with the MITRA and we are pleasantly surprised at the sound quality and 3D experience from the unit. I will add more to my review once our tests are completed.

Absolutely amazing, would not go on a shoot with out it!3D Mic Pro mounts directly on my 7D making my run and gun filming style easy and efficient.I shoot action sports so my camera package needs to be simple, compact, and easily accessible. The 3D Mic makes this all possible and I can leave the sound guy at home.The audio is All-Time try it for your self!D
