Q: After watching the video it appears that the plastic base may slide around, particularly on carpet, has anyone had this problem?

The base can slide around, but we've had fun attaching a teather to it and dragging the horse around the room. When the baby bounces in it, it doesn't slide-if that's what you're asking.

Q: Is there a weight limit? I have a very chunky 27 lb 1yo.

The horse was for my Granddaughter and her Dad thinks the weight limit is 60 lbs

Q: Is this too small for a 2 year old? Should I go with a larger one?

I think a 2 year old would enjoy this horse. My Granddaughter is 18 months now & she is not climbing on her self yet. The horse will grow with her, You can flip the base for when she is taller. I think this rocking horse will be good until she's 3 or older. it does depend on how big a child is of course.

Q: What is the difference between this Tek Nek rockin rider for $82.95 and the other rockin rider for a few dollars less as both are Grow with Me?

I am not sure what other rider you are looking at but this one is excellent. It grows with the child from a horse with a child safety seat for a 6-9 mo. old baby, to a toddler size for a 1-2 yr. old without the seat and then the frame is turned over to raise the horse higher yet for a 2yr. old to maybe a 4yr. old and other horses do not grow with the child and can be raised in height as well as this one can, some only grow a little, this one grows for a 6mo. to about a 4 yr. old child.....my granddaughter has had this one for 2 yrs now and loves it. It also plays music and "neighs" when you squeeze the ears.
