Maui Island SecretBrowning Creme SPF 5 8 Oz.

This is a fabulous creme, not only for browning, but just for moisturizing! I bought this after using  Maui Babe Browning Lotion 8 Ounces  for a few weeks and just getting sick of feeling like a slime ball after putting that stuff on. I'd apply it, then walk like a robot outside to very carefully lay myself out in a sunbeam while avoiding touching anything and everything. After sunning, I'd come back inside, still robot style, and then jump in the shower immediately because I felt like a basted turkey.So I bought Maui Island Secret Creme for giggles and have been so pleased! I'm not a tanning aficionado, but I was in a wedding this summer in which I needed to wear a dress that showed off more skin than I normally go for... (because my daily uniform is yoga pants and hoodies). Not wanting to blind the attendees, I thought, what the hey, let's get some rays. I followed the instructions - only going out for about an hour each day when it was sunny - 30 minutes each side (I was very scientific about this). And by the time of the wedding, I wasn't mistaken for an albino dwarf! Success! My legs even browned up nicely, which they never do even when I've tried on numerous vacations, etc.The best aspect of this stuff is the smell, and how it really does help your skin look lovely and healthy. I was putting it on every day throughout the summer and, my gosh, such a healthy glow to these skin cells. Now that it's clouding up, the wedding is over, I'm back to my old yoga pant/hoodie uniform, I haven't been using the cream as religiously. Yesterday I noticed that my legs were getting back to their old reptilian selves. Hello, welcome back, I did NOT miss you.So I'm sold - over the winter months I'll still be using this creme. It absorbs so nicely, no oiled turkey feel, yummy scent, and really does seem beneficial for the skin. Added bonus, it has titanium dioxide in it, so just that little boost of sun protection can't hurt. That being said, this is NOT a replacement for hard core sunscreen. If I knew I was going outside for a long time, I would put this on first, then another layer of 'for reals' sunscreen over it. The only drawback of that titanium dioxide is it does leave a little white smear on your clothes if you aren't careful. But no worries, it washes out and rub away. I have found a Maui Secret Browning Lotion at the local grocery store. But it had weird Miso paste like smell! But it did the work to give me extra tan in short time...Then I found this Maui Island Secret Browning Creme! I contacted the manufacture directly to find out if it has weird smell as well. But the rep told me that: Our browning creme has a very pleasant light tropical fragrance with a hint of coffee smell.Although I wanted Browning Formula for the maximum effect, I prefer more like lotion/cream type, so I went ahead and ordered Browning Creme along with After Sun Tan Sealer.I tried on the weekend after I received, and YES! The fragrance was nice light flowery scent! I could only stayed under the sun for 50 min due to the baking Arizona Sun, but it did great work! AWESOME! \(^O^)/*P.S. Since we don't have a swimming pool but I lay on the totally flat lounge chair on the back patio (no shade), I haven't tested with water... I'll be going to East Coast beach this week, so I'm looking forward to find out how it will do with in ACTUAL Beach condition. :)

It’s ok it’s not what I expected. You can still tan with it but has sunscreen in it

I like to use lower spf products if I lay out for a short time, or if I already have a base tan. This browning crème was easy to apply, just don’t put too much on at once! The smell is fantastic! It has a tropical smell. I didn’t burn using it, and I got some nice color. Your skin glistens after applying it, and it’s very moisturizing.

This stuff smells great and it's creamy formula helps it to be easily applied. My only gripe is that it has a tendency to dry out fast so make sure you apply quickly or else the formula is hard to blend in. I tanned nice in this, wasn't a super dark tan but just light enough to get color and only needed it twice to get what I wanted.
