It works....how well it works is another question. Does not always produce a good flare. I am professional automotive technician and use this at work. For the money, you are not going to find a better bubble flaring tool. But for about double the price of this tool you can get a much better flaring kit for bubble. However, I do not find myself making bubble flares that often and it has suited my needs. If it was stolen tomorrow, I would purchase another kit from amazon tomorrow night.

Bubble Flaring Tool
I purchased this tool in order to replace the brake lines on my Jaguar XKE Independent rear suspension. When I first looked at the results that this flaring tool produced, I was very skeptical as the bubble flare did not look at all like the bubble flares that are professionally done.Seeing that if any of these brake lines leaked, I would have to completely remove the complete IRS in order to repair the leak, I was hesitant, but I decided to simply follow the instructions (Very skimpy) and do the brake line installation. To my surprise I installed all of the brake lines and not a leak to be seen. After almost a month of use there still are not any leaks from any of the eight brake line connections. This bubble flaring produced some of the easiest tubing flares that I have ever done.

bubble flaring tool kit
I bought this to do the brake lines on my car and it worked great. I saw a few other reviews about how these broke. I have been a mechanic for 30 years and have seen many of the adapters break due to not having a good straight cut with no burs. I use a dremel tool with a cut wheel to cut my lines that way there are no burs on the tube therefore the adaptors don't get bound up and end up breaking the inserted part of the adapter. I have since bought a hydralic flaring tool and the Mac guy suggested to get extra 3/16" adaptors because it is common for them to get broken.

Great Tool
I never flared a brake line before, but I used this on my Volvo brake lines and was impressed how easy it was. The tool does a good job. Follow the directions, which state to clamp down the nut closest to the line, then clamp the far end - this will give you better clamping pressure and hold the line tightly. The clamp itself has small teeth in it to bite into the hose for further holding strength.

Absolute JUNK!
Ok, I'm a mechanic, have been for quite a while. I needed to bubble flare some brake lines to finish up my car, bought this, waited for it to come in, broke the first time I used it. First the piece that holds the line wasn't holding tight, then the piece that flares it broke in the line. Absolute junk, save your money, or just buy the proper lines to begin with.

Works as expected
I bought the product based on the Amazon write-up and reviews and it performed as promised. I was able to create 4 perfect bubble flares and finish up replacing the rear brake lines on my car. Quality is good, instructions are clear, product is easy to use and case is great for storage.

Good Value!
Very good value for the money spent. Manufactured well and has the feel of a much higher priced tool.

It will not work!
Tried to make flares as soon as I received the tool. Tried to make 9 flares using nickel cooper line. It will not make one flare successfully. The center bolt is slightly off center. I had to return this item.
