EASY TO INSTALL

I only use Hydronix filters (except for the membrane) in my countertop R/O system. Hydronix are the highest quality R/O filters I've found and for a great price.

The Hydronix ICF-10Q Inline Reverse Osmosis Post filter has 1/4" quick connect, and there is no leak any where after the installation. As for the taste, it is no different than any other filters I have used in the past.

I have been using these for years and they provide clean, fresh water for my fridge dispenser and ice maker.

I didn't want to pay the high prices at the store. These filters are great and super easy to hook up. Water tastes fantastic!

This review is for the Hydronix ICF-10Q Inline Coconut Filter 2000 Gal, 2" OD X 10" Length, 1/4" Quick ConnectI have a water cooler that his it’s own filter (Avalon), that costs eighty dollars to replace. Just cut the quarter inch lines and pushed them into this filter. Perfect, and saved seventy dollars. Thanks Amazon

Does a good job removing hard minerals and iron from tap water. Also appears to remove chlorine odors.I recommend that you follow the flushing instructions as there is some charcoal residue inside the filter. Simply attach the water supply on the inlet end of the filter, turn on the water, and let the water rinse through the outlet end into a bucket. Let the water flow until it comes out clear (the 10 minutes recommend may be a little excessive). Connect the outlet piping and you're done.This is my third purchase of this product and it performs every bit as well as the more expensive or OEM filters.

The price is right and it's easy to install. The water is definitely cleaner, clearer, and tastier after replacing the old filter. As per the instructions, mou MUST run 4 to 5 gallons through the filter BEFORE hooking up the output of the filter to the supplly line of your refrigerator/ice maker because there is a fair amount of charcoal discharge from the filter. Once the discharge from the filter runs clean, run another gallon or two through the filter to ensure all the charcoal sediment is completely gone. Only then should you make the connection to the output side of the filter.I did not give it a 5 star rating because it hasn't been installed long enough to verify its proposed service life. But at this point I can say it's a good value product that has performed as advertised. Even if its service life is only half of its claims, it will still only cost half as much as the brand-name counterparts.*UPDATE*I've updated the ranking to 5 stars from 4 because the product every bit as well and as long as the brand-name filters. Definitely a much cheaper alternative to the retail store brands.
