These have been a life saver for my postpartum recovery. I had a 4th degree tear and had no control of my bladder for a few days. Without these I would have been a mess.

Before I get into authenticity, I would like to say that the Night Defense model is great for women who are not comfortable with a wide band of elastic around their abdomen. These fit more like regular panties. And they do protect the bed sheets.I was at first concerned about the clear plastic packaging, even though all of the Kimberly-Clark Night Defense logos were printed on the package in black or clear on black. So I called Kimberly-Clark customer service. The rep was quite thorough. He had me verify various printed items on the package -- department names, addresses, etc. He had me check to see who the Amazon business partner was (in this case it is amazon.com directly). Finally, he had me read off the product/lot number stamped on the seam, which he researched.The final conclusion was that these are indeed original, manufacturer products (not counterfeits). They are in clear, rather than opaque, glossy packaging, because Amazon purchased them in bulk, and repackaged them. This is what the bulk packaging looks like.I mentioned that there was one reviewer that thought that the quality had changed. The rep said that there had been no changes to this particular product, and that, although people's perception do vary, if the product averages 4 1/2 stars out of over 1,200 reviews, then that is a positive indicator. I agree with him on that.

Having a smaller than normal bladder that is overactive and spastic as well as being a sound sleeper is problematic. These fit small in the back area in that they don't cover my buttocks which isn't particularly comfortable. I wear a suitcase 8 pant/jean so I'm not large in the derriere. They aren't super absorbent since I have awakened in a soaked nightgown and bed. The Solimo brand puts the Depends brand to shame. Since I've switched to the Solimo nighttime garments I'm a happy camper.

Bought these for an elderly friend, and thank goodness, she says they're just fine, better than any other overnight pull-ups she's tried. We'd been getting so frustrated, trying to find a true size medium, as so many brands have begun offering only small/medium, which were too small for her, while the large were...well, too large. So, I guess that's about all I have to say about this (the product doesn't really inspire me, but it does its job well).
