Q: Could you use this on an older violin?

This oil would be only be appropriate to clean and condition an ebony fingerboard on a violin but we would not recommend using this on the violin itself. There may be a permanent adverse reaction with the varnish such as staining or softening.

Q: How much oil is in the bottle? Magnifying the picture looks like 2 oz, but it's not clear. The product information says 0.6 oz.

Q: Would you recommend for my Yamaha wooden clarinet?

The oil is intended for the fretted neck of a guitar. To clean, preserve and lubricate for easier fingering. I don't know it that's a good thing for a clarinet or not.

Q: What are the ingredients that make up this item?

After looking at my bottle, it does not say the exact ingredient makeup but says it contains petroleum distillates and lemon oil. It smells and feels like pure lemon oil. This is an excellent product. It cleans, removes dirt, decreases, and removes any wax buildup without any residue left behind. I use this on my expensive classical guitars without hesitation and it works wonderfully. I also use to recondition and clean my guns butt stocks and wood parts. Great product. Worth every penny.

Simple and effective

Simple and yet effective solution for dried out and faded fretboard(dark woods).Good thing it is not very greasy, just wipe out excess with dry cloth, and it's good to go.
