I bought this to replace a plastic pill crusher that broke in half. I needed something to crush large pills into powder for my dog. The plastic pill crusher required lots of effort and several attempts to crush the pills into chunks, not powder My dog wouldn't take the medicine if there were any chunks at all. This product worked great. With little to no effort the pills were crushed into a fine powder making it easy to mix into her food. My husband loves too. It's great for grinding our herbs. I highly recommend it.

It would be perfect, but the color doesn't match the one on Amazon that I have chosen.
