Awesome entry level cockpit

Package very nicely, assembly is straightforward & instructions written well.Relatively compact & easy to fold with the exception of keeping desired adjustments.Wide seat & comfortable overall.

Seems high quality to me...

Reading the reviews I was a little concerned on some of the quality comments... but don't know what they're on about this thing is sturdy. Honestly exceeded expectation therein, great product, first sim setup for me.

Interesting design choices

First of all, this is a decent setup, especially for our first rig. Assembly is a little bit fiddly and a little bit time consuming, but generally straightforward. What I don't understand is why it isn't designed to fold up tighter for storage, and why the shifter/handbrake mount is attached to the base instead of the movable portion like the wheel. The problem is that the shifter plugs into the wheel, so when you move the wheel to get out it pulls the cord to the shifter across your path. If the shifter platform was mounted to the arm that the wheel is mounted to then the whole assembly would move together. Also very fiddly to adjust the angle of the seat. You can only adjust the height of the front legs, so the seat bottom and seat back both get angled differently relative to the floor. You cannot adjust the angle of the seat back relative to the seat bottom.

Great entry level sim seat.

Perfect entry level sim seat. I recently started playing Gran Turismo on PSVR2 and wanted a more reliable seating setup, and one that could fold away if needed. This seat fulfills those qualifications perfectly. The instructions were simple, and the rig can be stored away in about 5 minutes. I will say, it is a bit wider than expected, but it does fit my room fine.

Great Simulator Cockpit

This was actually a impulse add-on. For years I was using a Logitech G27 with a wheel stand. I was very happy with it but the problem is that I could not find a gaming chair with locking casters. So when I drove, I would keep rolling backwards when using the pedals. I used this setup for my PC racing sims. But since I recently got a PS5 with GT7 (and VR) I jumped at the Logitech G29 Flash sale. When I went to purchase it, this racing cockpit came up as a "customers also purchased." so I added it. This cockpit is amazing. First of all, I love the fact that it folds up. My game room doubles bedroom when visitors stay over. Second, the angle of the seat feels like you are in a race car. My wheel stand is great but you sit upright so it feels like you are sitting at a desk. It is very stable and is actually pretty light compared to the wheel stand. The one (minor) complaint is that although I like the fact that it opens up so you can get into it, you still have to step over it to get into it because the Logitech shifter is on the right and there is a cable that goes from the shifter to the wheel and the cable is not long enough to go around the back of the cockpit.

Very disappointing

Very disappointing. First of all the setup is an absolute pain. It took me close to an hour and a half just to put this thing together. Screws don't all align, placement of the adjusters by the shifters is poor because you can't get in to tighten them down, the seed itself doesn't lock into place on mine because things are not aligned up properly, and while I understand it is a budget item, it feels way worse than that. It doesn't really fold too well takes quite a bit of work to get folded properly without crushing the shifter or paddles or wheel. And I know some people have bigger spaces than I do it does not fit well in my closet completely folded. The idea of this thing is great but the execution is not.

Great gift for you racing gamer kid.

This was a Christmas gift for my twelve year old. He loves it and sits in it even when he's not playing racing games. It seems to be holding up well after two months of regular use.

Nice concept, bad excution

Been using NLR wheel stand lite mount for a while now, but its kinda gone out on me, so decided to treat myself to the full thing, thought the folding design concept would be great due to my limited space inside of my room. Was super excited to use it, then was super disappointed using it.First of all, putting it together is takes about an hourish if ur a bit slow like me, but i got it together, folded it up, and went on with my day. Later that night, unfolded it and started setting everything up, pedals on, wheel base sadly clamped on due to moza lol, and everything wired up. Hopped in, and the pedals were to close, so pushed them back, closed the wheel mount thing, and the wheel was way too close. Now here comes the problems, when u attempt to adjust one part, like the base mount, or shifter mount, or the chair itself, everything else decides to go along with it. I found this out rlly fast. I spent 2 hours tinkering with it, trying my very best to get it setup to be comfortable for me, and eventually just settled on something that was doable, and hopped in EA wrc, excited to beat sum pbs. Racing was good, everything was relatively sturdy, but wheel was still way too close and chair was getting uncomfortable. Did a couple stages and decided to call it a night instead of messing with the rig anymore. Got off work the next day, decided heck, ill give it another shot, maybe i can make it work.Spoiler alert, i couldnt. The design where everything is adjusted via the same "gear" area or whatever, proved to be the most annoying thing ever. Plus, due to the size of each gear, u couldnt get an accurate adjustment. So the wheel is either a foot away from ur chest, or hitting ur legs and is too far away. The seat is difficult to adjust, and in adjusting it, everything gets messed up, causing u to have to readjust everything back to how u just had it. Speaking on the seat, what the crap, the pads make no sense, they dont support anything or cushion anything, the fabric is odd, and its get uncomfortable after 30 minutes(im 6ft 200lbs, so may be the problem). Idk what the heck they were smoking in NLR, but i want some. Because this thing has got to be the worst design ive seen. I do not recommend this to anybody honestly, especially if u dont want to end up with anger management problems after a day. Im a big NLR fan, but lord have mercy gents, yall couldve done something better than this. Like seperate the gears so when u want to adjust something like the base mount or shifter mount, the entire thing doesnt want to fold in on itself. Now i plan on getting there more expensive, semi foladable victory cockpit or whatever for 299, but please dont buy this one, or the more expensive version either bc im sure it has the same problems. Now sorry for the rant, love NLR but this is not it by a long shot boys. Returned after a day of owning. Dont buy
