Peace at last.
My wife (she who must be obeyed) and I don't watch a lot of TV, but when we do, she has hearing aids, yet I still find that she still needs rather more volume than I do. We were feeding the TV sound to an Echo Dot (near where she sits), via Bluetooth, but that wasn't ideal. Then I chanced upon this device, and we can now listen via earbuds (and set our own volume levels), without blasting the neighbours, waheeeey.

Works well with BOSE headphones
Brought this to allow me to watch TV when my wife is asleep and it works really well, the only complaint is that I needed to buy 15W usb charger plug as the TV's USB port didn't provide enough power to power the Transmitter, and I hadn't planned on this.

The only one that worked for me.
I wanted to be able to listen to the TV using my headphones via Bluetooth, which doesn't sound much to ask for but evidently it was almost mission impossible. The bluetooth transmitter that I was using was only a cheap one but sometimes it would reconnect to my Bose Soundlink headphones and sonetimes not at all.Sometimes it would take 30 to 45 minutes to connect and if it dropped out because I went into a tiled bathroom then it took just as long to connect again!I tried BT on first, I tried headphones on first, no difference.Next I tried 3 other bluetooth transmitters, all the same.I started to wonder if it was my headphones but decided to persist for a while longer.Next I bought a much more expensive transmitter, the Mii B03+ my logic being that I could select my headphones on the Mii screen to connect.I had partial success because I was able to connect via the BT screen and the range was longer. I thought I'd finally found a solution but then the audio started cutting out intermittently and despite a reset and some problem solving it wouldn't stop.I thought I'd try one more purchase and if this didn't work I would have to buy new headphones.I ordered the Avantree Orbit and it arrived the next day. It was smaller than I expected, which made no difference to me.I connected it up and it found my headphones straight away. I was dubious but started testing.Firstly the range was massive, they even stayed connected in the tiled kitchen which killed the other transmitters instantly.I listened all night and now after a few weeks they're stil great and haven't cut out even once.Connection is really fast, they connect in 3 to 7 seconds for me.The main reason I got these was for the screen but haven't had to use it once to connect (after initial pairing) it just connects automatically. My Bose Soundlink headphones are NOT low latency, and yet I do not see any noticeable lag in audio! I'm happy about that because I was expecting a bit of lag.I nearly threw my headphones out for no reason.I've read some negative reviews here, and all I can say is it works 100% for me.The audio is OK for me but I'm only listening to the TV not music, but my guess is that they'd be OK for music with most people. Also, I have it connected by Aux cable. I have not tried the other connection methods.it is powered by a USB A to C cable.Unlike most transmitters it's not fitted with a battery so they need to plugged in to work. I see this as an advantage. You can plug it into a TV USB port, then it will power on/off with the TV.That's not what I did though. I plugged mine into a USB-C charger, then plugged that into a smart plug. Now I can say OK GOOGLE, TURN ON HEADPHONES when I want them. You obviously do not need to do that, but if you are a fan of smart plugs then it's an option.Lastly if you're used to cheap Transmitters, it's probably worth mentioning that this is a Transmitter only not a Transmitter/Receiver.Do I reccomend it? Yes definately.I like to buy a known make and I hear that their customer service is pretty good in case of any problems. This Transmitter has solved a constant issue for me that went on for years. All the best.

Easy to set up, great operating range.
The transmitter unit is unobtrusive and provides excellent audio from TV, Radio and music streaming. The pairing of earbuds and wireless speakers is very simple. The range of the unit covers my entire house and garden.

Extend your bluetooth audio range.
I've tried different bluetooth audio extenders and most are difficult to use, especially as they do not have any display. This looks nice and has a display so you know what device you are connecting to and in what audio codecs you are in.The sound quality is good but you need to check what audio codecs your headphones are compatible with.Ideally for TV use you need low latency headphones, you will get a delay if using lesser codecs.I use an optical cable to connect from my TV to the device, and then bluetooth to my headphones. You can connect two headphones at one time, if you want to share audio with someone else. There can be a problem with noise when changing over from different inputs on my TV, e.g. from Freeview to Freesat, but it clears after a few seconds. And although it will remember other headphones already paired with it, you have to pair them again if you use more than two pairs regularly.

Does what it says on the box
I’ve struggled for some time now with my tv. I wasn’t able to reduce volume on my earphones when I was watching things on my tv. I have several earphones, some of which can reduce volume, but the Avantree Bluetooth transmitter fixes it, so that I can use any earphones, headphones I want. When I was purchasing my tv I didn’t realise at the time that Bluetooth missing as one of the features would be a problem. And I’ve left it like that for some time. But recently I came across Avantree orbit and I liked the idea that it has a display which shows which devices are connected to it. After buying it and connecting it. I suddenly realised it makes my life much easier.I’m very happy with the product and would recommend it, if you need to add Bluetooth to any device.

Brilliant.
Unlike my high-end Samsung TV and my PS5 not being able to work out how to connect my Sony ear buds (apparently there being two buds is troublesome!), the Avantree Orbit, on the other hand, just does it. (With the bonus of having my over ear WH-1000XM4 connected at the same time).

You get what you pay for!
My hubby is a bit deaf. Watching TV with him in the evening was a bit of a nightmare. I use headphones for watching tv on my own all the time as well. This unit sits in front of the TV so there is no blocking of the signal as I have had in the past with units you plug into the back of the tv that you click and press and hold and hope they pair. None of those problems with this one, it is pricey, but .....We can both wear wireless headphones at the same time and listen at different sound levels (bliss for me and no doubt for our neighbours). I faffed about with cheap units for a couple of years when I found out they existed, and put up with the difficult pairing, breaks in sound, annoying sound delays. I can now also leave the room without losing the connection. It came with very clear set up instructions with various options/leads.It is an early Xmas present from Hubby - I won't mind unwrapping the empty box on the big day .....
