Yes, you can take it off and clean it in the washer.

Q: Will the squeegee handle screw on a longer extension pole?

I do not see any way to screw this unit onto a longer standard extension pole. I do see an answer from the seller that says it can, but I believe that's incorrect. I think the seller is saying that an extension handle is included with the product, which is true. But if the question is asking if it can also screw into a longer extension pole -- a standard extension pole that is threaded -- I believe the answer is No. Nothing on this is threaded, that I can see. Please let me know if I'm wrong. I just received this and haven't used it yet. The product seems to be solid and as advertised, but I wanted to clarify about using an external extension pole as that is a question I had when I purchased this, as well.
